I saw this ad from Lakeland (Florida) Ford on Twitter this week. I'm confused...this implies to me that they have reservations to share...what are your impressions?

Our local dealer (that I didn't use) claimed that several of their salesmen and family members made reservations that they didn't want. I almost used one but it seemed shady. I was advised by another dealer that Ford is strongly discouraging such behavior and may even have "penalties" whatever that means.

At the end of the day, I was worried that I would wait for months only to have an invalid order due to some shady dealings. I opted for trust with the understanding that I may not get a first-run order.

I can't believe they can promise a 6 month delivery, either. I have no promises from Ford like this. I have to wait and see.

The * is concerning me, I don’t see anywhere where they explain the *.
Plus we are not 100% sure if anyBroncos will be delivered yet in 6 months.

Exactly...how can a dealer promise delivery when I don't even have that promise and I made my reservation on July 14th? It smells.

Not trying to stick up for any dealership, however, maybe they have been allocated a certain number of Bronco’s and they are fishing for people with earlier reservations to utilize the reservations they have now and to bump up for more reservations later.

Allocations or priority codes don't mean anything as Ford has said it's going off reservation timestamps for the Bronco. Allocations and priority codes mean something in every other line-up though

Ford has published that there is a formula to who will get their Bronco. Also been published here several times.

Formula = Dealer Allocations + Time Stamp + Competition in Market Area.

Even Dealerships have quoted initial allocation number, but those can move up or down once all orders are converted by 3/19.

Yup, only Ford knows truly what’s going on and no one on the outside will know until May when build dates are released.

Florida has NY dealer who papered $500 million in luxury GM vans to Arabs. His dad went to jail in NC , where he had a relative in state government. Now his family has two dealership in Florida. Ford said you can make two reser. vation and only transfer to family members not general public. Florida allows dealers to add a dealer fee of $899 over MSRP. Meet current governor at meeting. Was JAG attorney. Can not put in writing comments!

It's probably lifetime powertrain warranty and is for the original owner. Although not common, there is at least one dealer in my area that also offers it.
