IOS 18.1.1 Text Notification issues

My iPhone updated to 18.1.1 and I now have issues with CarPlay. Text notifications worked fine prior to the update, chime and a pop window no matter what screen was displayed. With the updated IOS I I get a chime over the speakers but no pop up unless it is on on the CarPlay screen. Checked the Bluetooth settings and turned on notification but no help. Anyone else having this issue? Anyone know of a fix?

I haven’t had any issues, but might want to report it to apple. It’s going to be their issue and not ford. Though there was an update with sync so make sure that’s updated before doing anything else

I’ve tried that and got the new SYNC update today. My wife’s is now doing the same in that other off road brand that shall not be mentioned. Maybe it’s Apples way of saying buy a newer model iPhone since a 13 is so old. Not that they would do that. 😈

I also have no issues on either the Bronco Sync system nor on my wife's Expedition Sync system with text messages after updating to 18.1.1. I have an iPhone 15 Pro.

I'm surprised a 13 is still supported on iOS 18. I know we upgraded my wife's X in the last couple years to a 15 Pro Max as the X was no longer supported. (I realize a 13 is 3 years later than a X, but what I'm trying to get at in a round-about way is that you may indeed be right... you need to upgrade... and Apple is not so subtly telling you so.)
