Installing Mudflaps

Adding Mudflaps to my Wildtrak. Saw numerous issues for Mudflaps with the Sasquatch package but I really wanted some. I bought the Ford OEM plain mudflaps (not the expensive ones $499). I put on the rear ones with little modifications needed. It’s basically 5 holes for them and I used the self-tapping screws that the small splash guard had to make the holes. I did not remove the tire either. The rear bumper is plastic, so not hard to do. Front ones-that is another matter but I have an idea for them. Here are the rear ones that took me less than 30 minutes to install.

I have Broflaps on the front of my Basesquatch. I like them.

I did Broflaps as well. The guy that designed and sells them is in the US. He is very helpful if you run into issues or if you change up. Mounted on my Non-SAS Big Bend with plastic bumpers when I upgraded to a Fab Four rear bumper he upgraded me for a reasonable amount. Easy install. Fronts where even easier.

I installed the $50-ish Ford splash guards on the front of my Badlands. The only hiccup I had is that I needed to cut a hole for the rock rail (Ford states these splash guards are not compatible with Badlands for that reason.) But the installation itself was easy and is so secure that I didn't even need to put screw holes into the fender flares as the installation states. I just used the supplied clips, and they have since survived dozens of off-road trips and 20k miles without the slightest issue.

Rokblokz get my endorsement. XL long provides great coverage for my Badlands Sasquatch, and they have quick release thumbscrews.

Also, don’t forget to run rear mudflaps as well. It’s rude to put on mudflaps to protect your vehicle but not have the same courtesy to whomever shares the road with you.

That is my challenge today. I am with you - for $55, it is worth the effort and time.

Here are a couple of photos I dug up:

Mud flap - back side.jpg
And here's a clip from a video I took that happens to show a good view of them:

That is my thinking. I used the existing attachments as well Looks great! I appreciate your input and encouragement on making things work!!

You need rears as well to protect the vehicle behind you.

Also, those look tiny.

I have the Rokblokz XL in long, and as you can see, there’s definitely solid coverage:

That's the forward side. The rear side has the "male" piece that fits into the slider.

The step on my WildTrak is opposite in structure. The forward piece extends past the wheel well which is why I had to cut out a hole for it. I do not know why the step was not designed to be behind each wheel well to avoid any such issue but it was.
