(Or whatever the exact wording is).
All of a sudden, neither my 2021 Bronco nor my 2023 Mach-E are recognizing my iPhone.
Software update to latest iOS: check.
USB cables: check.
Apple Genius Bar visit to check my charging port plug: checked cleaned up.
Zip.
Zilch.
I can do the wireless projection on the Bronco, won't work on the Mach-E. But I can't use the (paid for extra to AT&T) WiFi if I use the wireless projection, or I can use the car's WiFi if I am not connected.
Is anyone experiencing this? I have used a connected cable for 2 years (and now a few months with the MME) and have been able to do CarPlay AND be on the WiFi hotspot, but the rep from Ford said these two are not compatible (which clearly was not the case).
I managed to make it work for one ride, then it all went back to Zilch.
Is Ford going the GM and Tesla route and getting rid of connected CarPlay? Or do I have a bug?
