While we replaced the Bronco's cheap factory speakers with a higher quality one there was still some room for improvement. This was a total trial and error type thing and wasn't sure if it would make a difference. Well.... we found out..

why not use speaker baffles?

I used the baffles, they fit with a little trimming around the edges.
Also used polyfill stuffing behind the Polk speakers.
Am Dynamatting the rear pods with polyfill.

Yes, I used the Polk DB402. They definitely sound louder and clearer, the highs go much higher than the stock paper cones.
Little weak on bass, wasn't expecting much from a 4", but there is no more bass in my opinion than stock, even with the baffles.
I picked up the 6-1/2"s also but haven't put them in yet, I hope they perk up the bass a little, otherwise a small sub may be in order.
By the way, Walmart has the Polk 6-1/2" to match the 4" for $59.00 a pair. Had to pay $79.00 a pair for the 4", best price I could find.

Been reading options to add base and found JL swing gate sub that I think could be adapted to the bronco or a bronco option to come soon
