Came across this and it looks interesting for the Bronco. Not bad pricing either. A little slow to air up IMO, but it looks like a sweet option.

Apparently the 1lb tank mounts behind the spare tire via a bracket..

Thats an interesting setup, and folks speak highly of the Viair compressors. American Adventure Lab has a kit that puts an ARB single in the same location, but without the tank. I looked at but went with a twin to make up the air-up time.

https://americanadventurelab.com/product/ford-bronco-tailgate-compressor-mount-bundle/

I'm looking forward to IAG's install video to see the tank and bracket setup. There is a goodly amount of room under the tire carrier, but its not unlimited. I've kicked around putting an air tank on a quick disconnect for air tool purposes, but honestly that seems like a whole lot of hoo-hah for a limited application.

I have a power tank set up in my 2dr but I would have seriously considered this as an option if it had been available when I purchased my power tank. The only bummer to this system, that I can tell, is that the air up time is slooooooooooooooooow.. I think they claim 3 min per tire to go from 15 to 35..

Heck I can do all 4 of my tires in less than that with my Power Tank..

I've been keeping an eye on this as well. I'm not super worried about time, because I wouldn't be using it that frequently & it looks like a pretty nice way to have it set up. Like someone else said - I want to watch the install video & see just how they're doing everything.

Same. Looks pretty straight forward for the most part but not sure why they don't show an image of the tank mounted behind the spare on their product page as that's going to be a pretty big reason to buy or not buy IMO.

Not the greatest image on the planet but I found a shot of the tank inside the spare tire carrier. They say it weighs 9lbs so not a lot of extra weight back there..

I might actually consider this set up and ditch my power tank. Not anything I am going to do right away but maybe in the future..

I wonder if there is enough room to mount a twin in the tailgate, but my twin is rather heavy so maybe not a great idea unless I upgrade the hinge.

Some one has a kit to mount a dual arb inside the spare tire mount on the back door. I'll have to see if I can dig it up. I believe I saw it in a post here on BN.

I don't think so- The twin is... um.. like twice as wide. :) The space in the tailgate is taller than it is wide. I don't think you could even get the twin in the space without a hammer, and then I am not sure what you would secure it into. The AGS kit secures the ARB single to the access plate.

FWIW, I like the twin a lot, and I like using the space under the wheel carrier. But I would really like an air tank. If you run a tank, I think you either have to go with this set-up, or sling it under the truck in the back like @Johnny Mo did with his raptor https://thebronconation.com/accesso...om-onboard-for-arb-aluminum-air-tank-t.17315/

Yeah its steep. Thats for the whole kit though. I think the bracket is like $200 by itself.

So has anyone here actually tried the IAG On Board Tailgate Air Compressor System for Ford Bronco? I am curious on how well it works for you in filling up your tires. How long does it take to do all 4 etc… Are you happy with this system?

You'd still need an ARB dual that sells for about $650.. That's gonna be close to $1100 after tax when all is said and done.. PASS!

The Ford Accessories Kit Bronco kit comes with the ARB dual and the under hood mounting hardware. It's like $825 after using this months discount code of redeem1025 (15% off)..

Don't get me wrong, It's cool, just not $300 more dollars cool...

Yep, the bracket is expensive for what you get. I bought the bracket when it first came out and it sat in the garage for like nine months before I bought the twin. I spaced out my buys on that to make it less painful. But yeah you can get screaming deals sometimes from Ford Accessories if you time it right with points. I did that this summer on the winch kit and ended up being like $600 bucks out the door. You cant get the winch they use in the kit by itself for that price.

After living with the AGS setup for a couple years now, here is what I like, and what I don't like:

Like-

Its super easy and fast to air up with the twin.

Its all out of the way and stowed in nicely in unused space.

I dont have to open the hood when I air up (this is stupid I know, but Im just kinda lazy sometimes :) )

Dont Like-

It is a lot of weight on the tailgate.

The kit was expensive for what you get. The design is nice and all, but yeah, a lot of bronco tax on this.

I am still not 100% comfortable with that long a wire run. I have had zero problems, but still something that I think about from time to time.

However, This winter/spring I am going to have to rework this whole thing to reinforce the tailgate and swap out the bumper. My tires weight much more than the factory goodyears and the stock hinges are starting to groan, so I think its time to fix that up before they fail. I don't particularly like the AGS bracket with the support so this whole set up is probably going to have to be moved. I have the ARB underhood mount sitting in my garage, but I haven't definitely decided I want to use it yet. I like the DV8 rear storage cubby and may just run the air hose out the tailgate.

I think If I had to do this again (which I guess I will), I would probably not use the tailgate setup, mainly because of this weight issue. Lots of different ways to achieve similar results.

The weight on the tailgate was another issue I forgot to ask about... Thanks for mentioning it.. That bracket is super cool and unique but I don;t think it's worth $400.. $200? Sure...

I went the the Food Bronco kit...

I do not need to open my hood at all. I ran a metal ARB extension hose to the passenger side crash bar area and have the ARB dual that's under the hood wired to one of the aux switches in the Bronco..

Connect hose >>> Flip Switch >>> Air up.. 😁

Im going to end up doing something like that in the back. I will either run the airline from the front or the storage area out on the tailgate and probably put the air chuck on an antenna mount. Lots of different ways to skin this particular cat, but I have gotten used to going to the back of the truck to air-up. I am (as my spouse reminds me) just too hard to retrain :)

Wow the number of different air options for the Bronco is impressive. I run a Trickflate 300 portable twin compressor that I stow in a harbor freight case. I use the 4 way hoses from MORRflate, they were running a sale and I could buy thiers less than I could get the parts to build my own. I too hate to open my hood to attach the alligator clips to the battery so I added an anderson connector to the crash bar mount behind the bumper and one to the compressor so now all I have to do is set up the compressor hook up the hoses and flip a switch. the wife and I have it down and we can deploy the system air up and pack it away in about eight minutes. it is so fast that we were filling air (after a trail ride) with a lady she was using a dewalt compressor we filled all four of our tires and her other 3 tires before that dewalt finished the one tire.

That style compressor seem to work real well. Everyone I know who has one says they just put out massive amounts of airflow. Something like that is what I would use if I was moving from vehicle to vehicle frequently.
