Has anyone found a good way to get your fenders clean after having fun in the mud and dirt? I find that even after washing my Bronco and scrubbing the mud and dirt of the fenders, they still look as if they are stained from the mud. I have tried several ways to clean them and not only is it a lot of work trying, I haven't been totally successful in cleaning them back to original shape. Thanks for any tricks or tips.

Chemical Guys vinyl rubber cleaner protector. I hear it is good I have a bottle but I keep getting the Bronco dirty and have not had the time to clean it to use the stuff.

edit: it is actually this, it has less shine.

I use the Chemical Guys VPR. @Jakob1972 gave you 2 websites on it. I didn't realize there was options. I like it because it isn't greasy or shiny. It just makes anything on the Bronco that is vinyl, plastic or rubber black again. It doesn't streak when it gets rained on (Maguire's Back to Black has done that to me and I hear people on FB saying this too). It normally doesn't need to have any excess wiped off. And, I live on dirt roads and the dusty dirt doesn't stick to it near as bad. It works on the door handles, plastic trim by the windows, I use it on the back and front bumper too, I've used it in the interior.
PS: Beautiful Bronco and cute little pup in the back!

The suggestions above are great products. If they were ever waxed or polished ect. prior to cleaning then that will need to be stripped down otherwise only the surface is being cleaned and not the dirt that is preserved. Probably not your case but I've seen it many times. Fortunately for me mine are painted. The black plastic is stubborn though. On painted surfaces I only use Zymol, Groits and Chemical Guys products , but for the cheesy plastic bits I have found the cheap turtle wax spray detailer to work quite well and effortlessly though it oddly smells like pickle juice.

When they get really nasty and washing them isn’t enough, I use Trim Sauce. Also works well at keeping the hard top looking new.

Someone posted in another forum that 303 Aerospace works well. I tried it and it's the perfect solution

I use the VRP but will probably try the 303 Aerospace when I run out. VRP is excellent, and have heard nothing but good things about the 303

I heard somewhere someone used bacon grease. At least it smells good.

Did you apply ceramic coating on the fender flares, too? Asking because I've got a ceramic application coming up just as soon as the weather will cooperate with my time table. :)

The best product I’ve found for cleaning the black trim is called “Crazy Clean”. It’s an aerosol, you can get it on Amazon. I’ve not used it for mud stains, but it’s the only thing that has worked for me to remove white wax residue from black trim. It’s not expensive and doesn’t do any damage to surfaces. Follow it up with some 303 vinyl treatment and you’ll be good to go.

Thank you! I'll try it. I have been frustrated with everything else I've tried.

Never comes off at the car wash or all my efforts at home washing it. Thanks though.

Get them nice and clean than put a couple coats of F11 on them. Do the whole thing. The stuff is like Teflon. Mud will rinse right off with no stains. I use it on my Bronco and bike both. It's not cheap, I think I paid around $150 for a half gallon four year ago but I'm sure I have enough left for the rest of my life. I gave a small spray bottle full to a friend of mine for his bike. He was blown away by it saying he doesn't have to delail his bike anymore. It gives chrome and paint more depth.

first - go to the pay and spray coin operated car wash to pressure wash off as much of the heavy stuff as possible before it dries... then, go home, remove the flares, pressure wash them inside and out, pressure wash inside the fender wells, behind and inside the wheels (clumps of mud will throw off the tire balance), suspension, behind skid plates, etc... lots and lots of pressure washing .. once you get the mud off, then use soapy water (I use a foam cannon) and wash it normally.... after that, spend about an hour pressure washing the driveway and sweeping the mud down the storm drains LOL
