I have had my Bronco since early October. The longest trip I have done was a few weeks ago to Philly. A little over an hour. Heading to NC tomorrow early AM to see the kids and our grandson. A tick under 350 miles each way. This will be the true test of the road trip comfort level.

You're gonna love it. I am really surprised how good of a road trip vehicle it really is. I put over 600 miles on it the first day I had it and felt good at the end of the day.

I can't speak for Bronco traveling since I don't have mine yet, but it has to be tons better than a Wrangler. Those things SUCK to travel in. So uncomfortable. I've only test driven a Bronco for about 15-20 minutes and it was super-comfortable for that short time

Drive safe and have fun. Let us know how it goes.

My family took first roadtrip in Bronco last February to grand canyon about 6hr drive. The drive was enjoyable in 2.3 MT with plenty of power but mpg was bad bc of all extra weight we have and it was an uphill grade most the way there from CA. *The MGV seats were so dang comfortable. No kidding. Especially coming from 4Runner seats (like sitting on a rock). First time in many years I arrived at my destination with zero back/butt/leg discomfort thanks to Bronco.

I recently drove from Sacramento to Palm Springs (500 miles direct, about 10 hours with bathroom and gas stops) and back (with a detour to Johnson Valley and Trona Pinnacles on the return trip) - straight through each way - total of about 1500 miles. tire air pressure is a big factor for comfort- I had mine at about 34 PSI, much better than the stock 39psi. Good luck and enjoy the journey!

I am planning my second long road trip , to King of Hammers in Feb. it will be a 2850mile round trip :) my first was to Moab for off rodeo then off into back mountain ranges of Colorado and back home in Neb. It is an awesome travel machine! BlkDmd 2dr 2.7 auto.

I have to 100% agree with the comfort level from Driving the Jeep Wrangler to the Bronco, the trip I made in the Jeep is about 210 miles and we had to stop at least 3 times because the seat in the Wrangler feels so box like.
The seat is too short and it digs into your legs just behind the backside of your knees, it doesn’t feel like the seat wraps around you at all and the head rest is rock hard and too far forward…
Have I had a long trip with the Bronco?
“No” not at all!
But it has to be better than the Jeep, I just can’t stand long trips with it…..
I can’t wait till I have a nice long trip planned out.
Be safe and Good Luck on your trip out East!

Eight months' ownership & nearing 16K miles in a Badlands/Sas/Lux/4Dr/Hardtop.
Took a geezer trip with my brother, Boston->Connecticut->Gettsyburg->Utah and back. It's 4K miles straight round trip, but somehow we did about 6K miles, so lots of that was in and around Utah, also maintained dirt, unmaintained county, trails, and some true overland, accounting for about 2K of the total.
Highway miles were smooth and comfortable, fuel ranging 16-21 mpg on "Eco;" we traveled fairly heavy. The GY territories were problematic on unpaved (new, rockchuckers, you know). but smooth and not too noisy on the interstate (39psi). Backseat was down for camping & cargo, but I think the backseat would be very boxed-in for an adult over long trips.

I'm a political conservative and my brother is a "progressive," so we argued politics a lot. For a whole month! Nobody changed the other's mind (not sure my brother has one anymore), but I've got a way-cool truck, and he drives a Prius, which I think says a lot.

Very comfortable. 12 hour trip to NH off rodeo, 10 hour trip to NC. You should enjoy. Also a fun game, count the Broncos. For advanced players, count the 2 doors vs 4 doors and 4 door rag tops vs 4 door MIC tops...:)...

After recently completing a 5k trip, I know you will come to the same conclusion I did, it is way better than expected.

I love that game! I kept track of colors! Changed my original order when the color I had was top of the list! I still am constantly watching oncoming traffic for other Broncos! It’s now a habit.

I drove from Chicago to Duluth MN, about 500 miles more or less with some buddies and gear. BB 2dr, 2.7! I actually averaged 24 mpg on the way up. About 22 coming back against a brutal wind. Very comfortable ride for front and backseat people. Downside, wind noise is really bad.
Hard to push a brick at highway speeds and not hear it. Love my Bronco.

I am really encouraged by all the comments on long trip comfort…. My hinges (knees) don’t do long trips well, and I was a little concerned about long runs in the Bronco…. These posts give me hope! Thanks!

Slide your seat back, stretch the knees. Unless you're an NBA star, you should have knee room. Don't overlook your seat's lumbar adjustment. My only concern is adult passengers in the back. Get out every couple of hours, stretch, have coffee. Load Wave or GasBuddy on your phone to check gas prices, soften the pain at the pump a little. Happy mileage!

I've had my 4dr Big Bend a year now, 13,000 miles. I've done several 400-500 mile trips, and never find it wanting. It's comfortable and quiet enough where it isn't the limit of how many hours I drive. I just got back from an extreme overlanding week in KofA in Arizona. One day I drove 6-7 hours, in 4WD low most of the time, and mostly below 20 MPH. IF you can get to camp after THAT and feel fine....the comfort factor is fine.
