So - I've mounted the Stinger tailgate subwoofer already, and have a LOC and Phoenix Gold 500.1 amp - my intent was to take the factory sub and enclosure OUT altogether, and take the speaker input to the stock sub, run it to the LOC, and then have that go to the new amp, to the new sub - but I'm struggling with WHERE to mount the amp and LOC - it seems like I should be able to mount the new amp and LOC in the location where the stock sub enclosure currently resides - but I can't figure out how to mount it. Also, the stock subwoofer has 2 pairs of wires going to it - so I'm not sure which pair to run to the LOC... has anyone else removed the stock sub enclosure and done a LOC>Amp>new sub? I need help!

Upgraded all the other speakers but not the sub or amp. All the speakers are plug-n-play on the B n O but the Sub and Amp, I’ve read elsewhere that it requires some additional wiring……what exactly, I can’t remember. I think you might also need the Forscan device/scanner to enable it all once finished. I looked into it a year ago but it was more work than I was comfortable with. Report back what you find. Good luck.✌

yeah, I've also replaced all the other speakers in the B&O system so far, and I've got the Stinger tailgate sub mounted, just need to figure out the placement of the amp, LOC and wiring... shouldn't be anything required in Forscan, since I'm just tapping into the factory signal going to the factory amp, and running that to the LOC>Amp>new sub. just not sure how to mount it all up, and which factory subwoofer speaker signal to tap for the LOC (there are two pairs of wires going to the sub)
