has anyone installed front/rear facing dashcam in a soft top bronco?

I'm shopping for a good dash cam, and want one that faces forward obviously, but also one that provides rear facing view - my question is - with the soft top - is there a good place to mount the rear facing camera, so I can still put the soft top down if I want to when summer comes around? Curious what anyone has found as a solution (if any)?

We used to sell 360 view 4G dash cams to car dealers but pandemic supply issues with china changed that in 2020. I suggest maybe try OWL cam. Link below. You can see front + interior cabin view + view live feed remotely from app on your phone. Its more of a security cam vs dash cam.

I've become a firm believer in the value of dashcams. Many YouTube videos capture photographic evidence of foul play or at-fault behavior, all of which can be used in a court of law. This has been near the top of my list of accessories.

So, while I cannot personally vouch for one model at the moment, I know there are dashcam reviews on YouTube that you can watch. The trick is to look for those by impartial parties who've purchased their own (weren't gifted by sponsors), and videos that were produced recently, to account for the supply chain realities.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Are there any rear dash cams waterproof rated for exterior use? I’m thinking something that could be mounted with the spare tire or brake light location might worth looking into.

If you get a tail gate reinforcement kit, many have mounting points where you could mount a camera.

Did you ever figure this out? I've been searching to see how this can be done.

My Bronco is a hard top but this would probably end up working about the same on a soft top . I installed the ThinkCam front & rear dashcam from the Ford accessories website. I wanted the rear cam to be mounted so that when I removed the top it would still be usable. I looked at several spots to mount but ended up simply sticking the rear cam to the back of the front cam and mounting behind the rear view mirror. It actually does pretty good and shows enough out the side windows to be more useful than just out the rear glass.

Got it wired and made a quick trip to Arby's . Saw a green 2dr , a velocity blue 2 dr , a yellow 4dr softie and a Badlands sport snuck up on me on the way home. I just did miss the blue 2dr on camera.

That looks like a good option. I agree that seeing the inside and the windows should be better than just the rear. Another thing to add to my wish list. Lol
