has anyone figured out how to secure the soft top when it's fully folded back?

you'd think it would 'latch' into position when it's fully folded back so it's not bouncing around when you're on a trail... but despite my best efforts (including standing on the bumper so I could push down on the soft top frame with my body weight to try to get it to 'latch' in place), it only 'sorta' latches, resulting in a lot of bouncing around when off road.. I know it comes with a couple very short velcro straps to put around the frame when it's in the 'halfway down' mode where you just flip the front part back.. but they're not long enough to secure it when it's all the way down. any solutions?

Maybe Motorcycle straps down to the lasso points on each side ?
I don’t have the soft top,
So just throwing ideas.
Are you sure the fabric is folded the right way with the frame action ?

Mine locks into position when I fold it down, you have to hit the switch to unlock it to put it back up...

yeah, I've watched that video a bunch of times to see if I'm missing anything... doesn't seem like I am. once it goes down and clicks... it can still be lifted up , which defeats the purpose... makes me think I'm missing something...

Mine came with Velcro straps that are supposed to be used. Did you not get those?

Take it to the dealership and have them fix it. I had a similar issue when I got mine last year. The latch wouldn't stay latched in the down position and pop loose. The issue was some of the latching mechanisms were installed incorrectly (springs) at the factory and the dealership fixed it under warranty.

I need to take it in for an oil change soon, maybe I'll mention it then

I put my top all the way back last night and it definitely has a firm click when it locks in place. If it's not firmly clicking, there may be a problem. While we're on the topic of soft tops, I have a couple of other questions that somebody else may be able to answer.
1.) The drivers side release to put it all the way back has a little grey colored handle (for lack of a better term) with a 1 on it. I *thought* the other side would have another grey handle with a 2 on it. But it doesn't have that grey plastic piece at all. Is there supposed to be one there?
2.) Has anybody else had to have the tiny plastic clips on the corners of the rear window replaced? I followed every direction to a "T" in removing it, and several of those tiny plastic clips still broke off. I read that there was a TSB to get them replaced with metal rivets? Anybody had that done yet?
3.) Regarding the BN video, the one thing that irks me about it is that it omits a VERY handy bit of information about getting the side windows clipped back into the rear corners. If you lift the rear hatch, it makes getting those hooked in MUCH easier.
4.) Regarding the straps that someone else mentioned...I could be wrong, but I believe those were only intended to be used when the top is in the first back position, since there is no locking mechanism there.
I’m still tickled that this bothered you so much, you set it to music 🤣
it was literally one click on my iphone to add the music haha
