Hard Top to Soft Top?

I have a 2-door and I LOVE the look of my hard top. It is preferred to the look of the soft top, especially when the top is down. However, I am moving and will no longer have a private garage to store the hard top. So, I have been looking into converting to the soft top and am hoping to get some feedback from others that may have done this. I live in MN so it is important to be able to soak up the summer days as much as possible with the top down.

Is it difficult to convert back to the hard top? Does installing the soft top damage anything? Any other feedback you can provide would be great!

There is no OEM soft top for the 2-door Bronco... so the answer to your question largely depends on which aftermarket soft top you buy.

The most popular soft top by far is the Bestop soft top... which is also the same soft top that is sold through Ford Accessories. That one makes no permanent modifications to the Bronco, and you can switch back and forth between the soft top and hard top. The first install of the soft top will take a few hours for sure, but once you got it together it'll probably only take you a hour or so to flip between soft top and hard top.

If storing the hard top is too much of hassle with your move, Bestop also sells the Sunrider, which you may be interested in.

Here is a thread that is already discussing this https://thebronconation.com/general...vs-oem-soft-top-vs-sunrider-top-t.7160/page-1

I was looking forward to buying the full soft top this spring, but now I'm leaning toward the sunrider... got lazy in my old age!!

The Bestop is the one I've been looking at. I was just curious about others' experience with it. Also, I've watched videos on how to install it, but I just wanted to make sure it wouldn't be difficult to switch back to the hardtop and any point. I appreciate your response!

I don’t even own a 2 door and I could tell you confidently that Bestop is the best top.
