I hope th err y are not using the same company for the bbn full size , they are finally making a list of people affected and turning it in to ford.

I've seen several posts on Facebook with broken Bronco Sport windows. Seems like Ford followed in Jeep's footsteps there.

That’s not good. Out in AZ people’s front windshields get broken all the time from the combo of small rocks hitting and the stinking heat doing the rest!

As an AZ resident, I can confirm 100% that this does happen and happen often. But that's also why glass coverage is a standard part of car insurance here. It's annoying to get fixed, but it doesn't cost anything out of pocket.

Wonder if Corning Glass will produce their Gorilla Glass windshield for the Bronco. Paid a high premium for the Gorilla Glass for my J**p but it was, still is, worth it.

A friend the New Bronco Sport trucks for the Ford dealership when they get sold.
He noticed that the rear back side windows seem to scratch extremely easily.
Hope FORD resolves this! We don't need the larger Bronco to have similar issues.

I purchased my Bronco Puter Banks in May 2021 and less than a week after purchasing heard a ping and had my first chip. Went straight to dealership and was told to go home and 30 minutes later the entire windshield was cracked all the way across. Finally got it replaced and two days later another “ping” and once again cracked all the way across. This time I’ve waited since June for a replacement and finally have an appointment to replace Tuesday Aug 31. Tried to get help from Ford as from what I hear and have experienced there is an issue with the glass. They ignored me and it’s gonna come out of pocket which is very expensive. Ford Tough?

I bought my Gorilla Glass in the J**p store parts department & paid for installation. Made by Corning. Seemed much more expensive that mystery brand glass at the local auto glass shop. Still happy with it & hope Corning or Ford offer it soon.

It's on a lot of things with screens (smart phones) and it is harder to break than "glass". It's glass that doesn't break like glass.

It was invented for gorillas that kept dropping their smart phones and cracking the screens.

"This technology makes the windshield lightweight, durable, and up to 3x more impact resistant versus traditional windshields to chips and cracks from stones and other debris drivers might encounter on roads or trails."

All 22 Broncos and Ranger are being recalled due to glue application. 63,000 of them. Why? only 15-20% failed engineering tests. My dealer wants to bring to glass shop, since dealers dont do glass! Why, its not leaking and the design is too flat and soon or latter it will crack. Ford only warrantee glass for 12 months anyway and my auto insurance would cover it under comprehensive.

IF IT ISNT BROKE DONT FIX IT is an off roaders motto, because something else will break. I ask my dealer to extend my glass warrantee for 12 months in writing, if he reinstalls windshield by an email and NADA, so tomorow nothing in writing no recall being dont. Decline!

If glass flys out in an accident, Ford will get product liability suit. Just a poorly designed windshield A collumn due to rollover roof structure.

Fix On Repair Daiky (FORD) but we knew it when we bought it.

I just tested windshield with high pressure garden hose and did not find a leak. A tech can press windshield corners to see if any movement due to poor glue application. Keep If Simple Stupit (Kiss) is a management term!

It’s not all Broncos. It’s Broncos built between December and April. It’s not a design issue. It’s an adhesive issue.

My wife’s Sport has had 3 damaged windshields in less than 1500 miles here in AZ! Fortunately, the insurance has no deductible and give us zero hassle whatsoever. We’re on a first name basis with the Safelite people!

All 22 Bronco production . 22.5 Bronco Everglades & Raptors not yet! In Florida the Comissioner of Insurance does not allow separate glass insurance coverage, it is part of comprehensive coverages. My Progessive wanted $220.oo more on a $100.00 deductible. For $320.00 I should be able to get a new windshield each year. My cracked windshield warrantee is only 12 months and 9 left. I did not receive a recall letter yet, so will decline for now until FORD sends letter mailing date today!

Florida Insurance law correction by Progressive:

Which states have zero deductible for auto glass?
Several states allow for a zero dollar deductible for auto glass, including KY, AZ, SC, NY, MA, FL, and CT. Each state has laws regarding zero dollar deductibles, some of which require it and some of which allow it as an option.Reported By Rachael Brennan Published September 13, 2021.Policygenius content follows strict guidelines for editorial accuracy and integrity.
