What a day! We have a local trail loved by off-road enthusiasts who enjoy snow-wheeling, called Mormon Emigrant Trail, up in Pollock Pines, CA - about an hour drive from where I live. I posted in my local Bronco group Saturday night to see if anyone wanted to go for a drive and ended up hooking up with the owner of this gorgeous old-school red Bronco with a well-built 347 (stroker motor) in it. We hit the trail and found out we weren't the only ones who decided to go. The snow was coming down hard most of the day with some crazy wind - and the snow pack on the trail was getting really slippery by late morning/early afternoon - it was hard to walk on it without falling down (speaking from experience). Trucks (even the well-equipped ones) were sliding all over the place and getting stuck. We had a couple traffic jams that required us to sit and wait for 45+ minutes.. but overall, had a fun day - ran into a couple other 6G Broncos while we were up there too - advised them to turn around and go home before they went too far LOL .. video and photos, of course

Wow @Calgecko - looks like a ton of fun with just the right amount of butt pucker too. Thankfully, there were lots of rigs and everyone got pulled out & home safely! Thanks for sharing.

I waited a long time to get it, I'm making up for lost time :) just hit 3 months of ownership on Thursday, and already have 5500 miles on it :) ... glad people enjoy my photos and video! Maybe someday BN will put me on payroll LOL

it was a bit of a mess, honestly - we sat waiting for a LONG time for a couple different incidents to get recovered in front of us.. but was still fun - and BEAUTIFUL up there with all the fresh powder. I'm sure it's nasty up there today with all the wet snow they're getting. if you're on FB, the Norcal 4x4 Recovery group has been talking about MET yesterday quite a bit.

Great trip @Calgecko.
I need to find some snow.
I have had sand, mud, and rocks, snow is the last of the Bronco food groups. Other than water but that is a drink really. LOL

Amazing pictures and video as usual. Looks like so much fun except all the waiting. I guess you have to take the good with the bad sometimes. Totally worth it. šŸ˜
