Fun (and scary) trip to Johnson Valley, Joshua Tree National Park, Palm Springs and Trona Pinnacles

Went to Palm Springs to visit family this weekend - during which, I made a quick trip out to Joshua Tree National Park .. then when we left Palm Springs, we made a detour to Johnson Valley with the intent of seeing Bronco Knoll, and also hit the Trona Pinnacles to check that out too.. some amazing sights for sure.. and an experience on Bronco Knoll I'd like to never experience again - doing a 30+ point turn on top of a steep incline that led to a ridge full of loose rocks, with an impending storm coming - and it was just my wife and I in the Bronco with nobody else around for miles.. other than that- a great trip!

Hey Mark, have you even thought about getting the new Bronco out and enjoying yet? Like road trips off the beaten path ? I bet you and your wife would enjoy that!!! 😂🤣

Awesome!! Glad all safe and had fun. Thankfully the storm didn't hit here till Sunday and was mild. Rain much needed! We live in the PS area, next time you're in town lets meet up

I would love to take a road trip out there but not sure when that could happen at this point. Disappointing that getting to Bronco Knoll is that tough. I suppose there are several different paths to get there, but it may be like finding a needle in a haystack.

thanks y'all for the nice comments - obviously, I love photography - specifically automotive photography, and when I can combine it with landscape photography.. it's a win. I do take a lot of pride in the images I create, and it's a huge compliment to think that they may inspire others to either get out and explore, or play with photography. These vehicles of ours are very photogenic (one of the reasons I chose the blue - I knew it would play really nicely with light), and allow us to get to places most people don't get to see. Get out and enjoy it!!

thanks - unfortunately, I was so wrapped up with not rolling down the hill, I didn't think to record - that's an indicator to anyone who knows me, that I was not in my right mind LOL

as far as the stabilization - It's just a gopro 10 black, mounted to the dash rail - with the internal stabilization built in
