Front License plate

Which bumper?

Only pic I got I already scribbled over plate (like it matters 😳 )

But I had my shop fabricate one that I modeled in CAD.

Pretty much the same as the one from Built Right... shhhh

If you have the Modular bumper you can take the factory lic bracket turn it upside down and mount it low on the bumper like my Brother did.


Mine is mounted to my winch.

If you upgrade your bumper then kentrol makes a good front tag holder for it. Mounts onto the D shackle bracket. We have it on ours

Any advice on front license plate location? I live in Texas, so must have front displayed.

We need a front license plate here in Virginia. I ordered this one for my WildTrak from Amazon and very happy. Sturdy and uses the existing TP40 bolts on my modular bumper. Took less than 5 minutes to install.

Thanks for ideas I'm going to have to uprade my Bumper. I have stock plastic one on my wildtrak. adaptive cruise control complicates , don't want to put too low in front either
Like the idea of moving to side on stock plastic bumper until upgrade to better one

If anyone needs a front bracket then pm me. I am retired from DoD and I make stuff as a hobby. I have made hundreds of strong hidden front brackets for other vehicles as well as those that fit fairleads without a winch. I might have something already made. Unlike some cheap sheet metal brackets, that attach at the top, that can easily bend under pressure, mine are bolted flush against the bumper, in the center of the height, that provides a much stronger attachment. This version has over 4 years of automatic carwash testing to verify stability. This one is machined and fitted tongue and groove and is completely rigid and flex free. At least 4 times thicker than sheet metal the grade 6061 aluminum is tough. Assembled with stainless screws and includes stainless hardware for both mounting and license plate mounting. Mount with included stainless sheet metal screws, or included stainless machine screws, nuts, washers, lock washers and rubber isolators. Why drill holes that can be seen. This entire industrial grade assembly is stronger, completely hidden and fully hand polished. Prepped for paint before shipping for those that prefer a black finish. The isolators keep the bracket slightly off the painted bumper to save paint damage that does occur with plastic oem brackets over time. Also this is adjustable from 0 to 1.5" by rotating it 180°. If mounting height is a concern then I can modify an existing bracket (see last picture).

Right idea but ya might want to bend it back a bit. It’s looks much nicer with a slight angle. Especially from the profile.
