FordPass remote start and locks going away?!?

Did I read that right? Are they removing remote locks and starting from the cell app on the next update?

I disabled auto updates for my iPhone, go to the settings - App Store- and uncheck auto updates. I’m not sure what they mean by “activated modem”, are they just putting a paywall on these features now?
