Good morning, BN Crew!

Please forgive all naïveté evidenced in my questions… I have a feeling there will be a lot! 😬

I have a ‘22 four-door Outer Banks on stock shocks and 33” tires (obviously non-SAS). I’m really wanting to put a 2 inch lift on my baby and I want to make sure that I’m doing everything I need to do.

With that said, I know that there is extra support that is needed when going with the 2 inch lift. Does anyone (e.g., @Ford Motor Company) know if the Ford Performance 2 inch lift kit that is on the BN Gear site (here) comes with all of the extra support that my rig needs?

And if this Ford Performance kit does not include what I need, would someone be kind enough to point me in the right direction for everything that I need?

Thank you so very much for your non-judgmental assistance! 😘

Not sure what you mean by "extra support"?

I second the question above.. "extra support"?

And in my opinion, not trying to take away from the BN gear site, but after putting 48k miles on my Bilstein squatch suspension, I will NEVER buy another Bilstein product. My driver's side rear shock sprung a big time leak around 40k miles, none of it offroad, strictly commuting. The other 3 have small leaks in them. In my opinion, Bilstein is complete garbage!

I'd look elsewhere, plenty of options out there. Old Man Emu is one I'll be looking at when it's time to replace more of these crap Bilstein shocks!

Thank you all for your input. And @Deano Bronc and @EvlNvrDys, I believe when you lift the stock Bronco you have to add sleeves to the tie rods to give them the support they need to sustain the additional height. That is if I am remembering the issue correctly.

Ahh, Ok. Now I understand what you mean, but doubt that you would need them. Are you planning on doing some rock crawling? The additional height to a stock Bronco will only be slightly higher than a squatched one. There shouldn't be any more issues with your tie rods than a stock squatched one. Not to say you can't break a stock height Bronco, but it is very rare. If you want the extra security of the braces, its not going to hurt anything to put them on there.

I am really glad I wasn’t off in my recollection of the situation. This is exactly the helpful insight I was hoping for, @Deano Bronc! Given what you’re saying and what the folks at @MiddletonMotorsports_4x4 showed in their video, I think I will be ok for now if I don’t get the braces. And if I decide to do some more intense rock crawling, then I will go on and get them. Thank you so much for all your help!
