See pic. First oil change on my bronco today (2.3 MT)

Scheduled an at home (home office) oil change service through my local Ford dealership.

Two (2) techs arrived on-time, did a great job and no mess left on the ground when all done. Perfect.

Notes:
  1. My bronco only has 2200 miles on it. However, engine is now broken in and I wanted to remove any metal deposits leftover during break-in period.
  2. Did Not rotate my 37 inch tires today. I rarely do nor did it need it yet.
  3. I switched to full synthetic oil vs blend for a few reasons (1) less to no wax in synthetic = less build up in the engine (2) higher temp threshold which is good bc I live in Hot desert region and 4cyls run a bit hotter (3) more detergents in synthetic which helps keep engine cleaner from carbon deposits (4) better for the turbo (5) more lubricants so the cylinders can move more freely, especially in winter temps (6) Better for performance under load i.e. consistent high revs offroading or ripping to pick my son up from school
  4. I also thought my 3 inch lift might help make oil filter removal a bit easier but the techs said (nicely) that it was still a "PIA to remove oil filter".
  5. I would normally change oil myself but since my dealer does "house calls" and as a result it's still booked into my bronco's Carfax vehicle history report...I let me dealer do it.

*Easiest oil change ever. Thanks Ford!!

Never even heard of this before. I wonder if this is a service specifically provided by your dealer. Either way... really good idea for those whose schedules don't let them go to a dealership.

Sounds like you have the 2.3L engine ;)

Every Ford dealer should offer this service IMO. It was really excellent for a host of reasons. For starters I was managing a customer service inquiry for my biz and only stepped away 5 minutes to meet both techs then went back to work. Big help! Plus no fears over giving my manual trans to someone that didn't know how to operate it.

My wife use to be a service writer at our dealer (and its where we first met years ago) so no fears of getting good or bad service onsite. We both just have super busy work schedules, like everyone these days, and decided at home oil change was the best bet. And it was. Very happy!

Also worth noting the 2.3 MT engine feels like it runs even better with full synthetic.
