Hi, As far as I can tell, the ford iPhone app bypasses any phone screen unlock. On my iPhone when the screen wakes it shows a button to open the ford app. This is not the home screen, rather the wake screen. Tapping that will launch the ford app but also allows you into the phone without face or pass code. You would have to disable Tap or Swipe to Wake to turn this off. Not only does this leave your phone open to people, but it allows your car to be started.
