Its been confirmed that this works on the bronco but needs a bit of modification to get the plate to not block the sensor on some of the higher packages.

EDIT

For people who are confused , the modular STEEL bumper has a HORRIBLE mounting bracket for the license plate that is heinously ugly and ruins the image of the car. However the plastic bumper with fog lights has a much better solution.

Here Is the steel modularbumper (ew) vs the plastic one with much better placement

That's only if you have the Heavy Duty Modular Bumper. The stock bumper doesn't have the shackles. Just the regular horizontal tow hooks. license plate holder.jpg

I was seriously thinking about getting one of these.

I saw a post on The Drive about this today and freaked out. Perhaps it's only this obtrusive on the modular bumper?

Yes as others have said this is only for the steel modular bumper and not the plastic one. To my knowledge the plastic bumper mounting solution is a bit better

I really don't see why this is such a big issue. Come on guys/ gals, when it becomes an issue is when you get your Bronco.

Ha-ha! I took that picture. My truck is parked next to the Bronco on the drivers side. Actually, I loved taking that Bronco out on a test drive.

I'm fine for you to not care but I'm not putting my license plate in the middle of the flippin grill. That's where burgers go.

Well it sounds like the modular bumper has the issue more than the stock which is what I'm getting. So it'll be something to figure out on delivery if it's the same.

Did you select either the High Package or the Lux Package? The reason I ask relates to the bumper containing the front sensors.

CA requires front plates (shocking, right?) - and I haven't run a front plate on any of my cars in the last 15 years and have only received 1 fix it ticket in that whole time.. so for me, I'll keep rolling the dice.

Florida doesn't require a front plate. I will be putting my military plate on it though. To answer your question: no I haven't chosen a location yet. No big hurry.
