Has anyone else noticed that the 6 Gen Bronco heaters are pretty trash? I've always known Fords to have great heaters but front vents are trash and floor heater is nearly non existent. Windshield vents seem to be the only ones to be noticeably useful.

I haven’t noticed because I live in the south, we rarely need the heater. I do know this, the Bronco has a great air conditioner.

was up in the snow in the Sierra's this weekend (about 37 degrees) for a while driving on trails - me, my wife and my dog - never had a problem with the heater.

Haven't had a problem.

The windshield defroster is fantastic and WAY better than any other vehicle I've owned. But that may be just because most modern vehicles have giant, long, swooping, aerodynamic windshields... while the Bronco is effectively a brick with wheels and has a small windshield.

The floor heater may be a little on the cool side though. On most vehicles I have to turn the floor heater down/off because it is too warm, but I've never had to do that on the Bronco. Which leads me to believe that it may be cooler than other vehicles. (It's perfectly adequate for me though.)

a YJ has a trash floor heater. That's a bold statement you are making.....

The AC works great.

Living in the PHX area, I only know about car heaters in a theoretical sense.

I will say cruising topless with tube doors on, the heated seats and steering wheel has helped on the pre-sunrise trips to the gym.

Do you have rear floor mats? If so, remove and try again. my defroster, front dash vents, are very hot!!

I don't have rear mats. And how the heck would that effect vents, especially in the front floor?

Just curious, how do you have your HVAC controls configured? Do you have the electronic or manual controls? Can you snap a pic?

I have noticed the passenger side vents don't blow nearly as hard as the driver side.

I ASSUMED you meant the rear floor vents. But some have had mats that have slid on top of the rear ones. And obviously blocked the heat or cooling.

Both. You can turn them on via digital display or dash push button. Although choosing where the air goes is all done through the digital display once on; the temp can be adjusted by touch display or turn dial fan speed by toggle. Atleast on the Lux setup. Atleast the window defroster/defogger works but the rest are weak and all but useless. I'm sure the front vents being set back so far doesn't help but even with my hand on them I can hardly feel anything (and yes I have confirmed they are fully in the open position). If I turn all other vents off and leave just the floors on it still tries to blow (softer) on the windshield. Atleast one initial issue went away. The first couple months if I turned the HEAT on and had the temp on say 74 it would also automatically turn High A/C mode on.

With it that cold any heat would feel good. Doesn't mean it's great nor powerful.
