I remember reading some people saying they would love to have a Bronco with a fixed roof. It may happen.

Not sure about a fixed roof as much as a one piece removable top. And I have no urge for an “upscale“ Bronco. Badlands, Sasquatch, 4 DR is “upscale” enough for me

No squeaks, no leaks. Sounds good, as long as you can still get the washout interior.

It will be a rugged looking Expedition.
Which is what the Bronco actually evolved into anyways.
In 97/98 they just renamed the new 4door version of what the f150 based full size Bronco morphed into.

I would like a F250 Ttemor based EXCURSION type "Bronco". That would be AWESOME.
It'd probably be $110 grand too! LOL

I'd say for me a fixed top with removable front panels would be great. I have no interest in a soft top and would probably never remove the rear shell. Well maybe once just to kill the novelty of it. Removable door?? I could take or leave them. I've had the front panels and front doors off of my Gladiator once and the ride at highway speeds is pretty rough. Like driving through a hurricane.

With a fixed top, some buyers might hope for increased roof rack capacity. At that point, Ford might be concerned with roll-over potential. I suspect Ford will pass on this opportunity and let the Ranger take the lead in the fixed roof vehicle segment. A crew cab Ranger Raptor might provide the off-road functionality as well as cargo and tow capacities buyers are seeking.

The Bronco did not evolve into the Expedition. They were working on a Bronco from 1997 to 1999. It was called the U260. Unfortunately, Ford came out with the Expedition in 1997 which was a huge profit maker. The bean counters didn’t think there would be a market for the Bronco, so the Bronco program was scrapped in 1999.

This is the U260 Bronco concept built between 1997-1999.

They have to fix the roofs before they can even think about a fixed roof. :p

Awesome, thank you! I've heard of that U260 but never realized there was an Bronco/Expedition overlap.
That thing looks AMAZING!

I think everybody just assumes the Blazer morphed into the Tahoe, the Bronco morphed into the Expy , etc etc.
What happened to the Ramcharger? LOL

Really a fixed roof Bronco  ? Will it launch beside the “Bronco Street” with no 4wd and 20” wheels and low profile tires?
