Ford just revealed the Bronco New Energy, and it’s a full EV and hybrid version of the Bronco… but it’s only launching in China. It’s got a boxy shape, round headlights, and even the rear spare tire—but underneath, it’s got dual motors, body-on-frame construction, and up to 758 miles of range in the hybrid version. There is no word on whether it’s coming to the U.S.—but should it?

Would you want to see something like this available here?

Curious what everyone thinks.

I have no problems with EV options being made available here.

I would rather see a hybrid version first before a full EV.

Would be excited, but doesnt look like roof comes off or doors. For me, that is the draw.

Yeah, no expert here, but hybrid may work. I wonder about excessive weight, off-road durability, & fire potential EVs may have on our tough mtn trails. Given another car carrier ship fire & sinking last month (Morning Midas) and many other related fires these EVs seem problematic.

As an outdoorsman I love the "green" aspect behind it, as an engineer I have my doubts about the sustainability and practicality of this in the outdoors, and as a car guy I am disappointed by the lack of dinosaurs that will be burned.

Anything with a battery is worse for the environment than anything else man has done, and I really don’t understand why we are even mentioning it here. Its China. Are we going to post every Ford Bronco version around the world? cause I’m sure I’m not the only one that cares what China has..I could be wrong tho. Lol

Also Breaking news, Ford has prototype of Bronco Sport Raptor that has been seen.

Zero interest in an EV. However, this is probably a plus for those who are interested

Yes to the hybrid, no to the full EV. Too soon where I live. Don’t want to scavenge for power.

Who's your daddy?

Maybe a hybrid if it was diesel ( not that I would buy one) But with the subsidy going away no one will by a full EV. Thats part of why Teslas sales are down.

Would this compete with the Rivian or the International in size? you might be able to talk me into a hybrid but full EV not where I live, to get to the nearest anything is a 30 minute drive. I mean even my golf cart is Gas powered.

In the USA, an estimated MPG must be posted.
I want to see "Estimated Hours of Child Slave Labor" used to mine the precious Rare-Earth Metals and Minerals used to manufacture the battery. And how many cubic meters were ripped out of the Earth to access those metals and minerals? We're talking China, folks--where natural resources are cheap and human life is even cheaper.
