I'm looking at RCI, Metal Tech and CBI.

I have a set I built for a customers Tacoma and it got totalled before he had us install them. They happen to be the perfect length for a 4 door Bronco so I will will be making new mounts. I haven't decided if I am going frame mounted or body mounted with them though.

I recently went through and researched the couple frame mounted options that don’t require drilling or welding, and had concluded the Metal Tech were the best integrated and thought through design.

Had a couple questions so I called and left a message with the sales support, and about an hour later got a call back from the owner. Answered everything and we talked about the loads on them and the design decisions, and it was pretty clear he knows what he’s talking about. Ordered a set for our 2 door today (they’re on sale for the 4th with reduced shipping charges).

Not saying other vendors aren’t as knowledgeable, just that I’d mostly decided on the Metal Tech and I was very pleased after taking with the owner.

I just looked at the JRC. Price, most expensive compared to others I mentioned. Installation, lots of drilling and tapping threads into the frame for JRC. No nuts on the back of the bolts either, just the tapped threads.

They are not frame mounted sliders.

That's a terrible idea, when do we start?

I have the ZroadsZ, at least these aren't frame mounted. They use the factory mounts, but they do a good job of protecting the Bronco. Definitely better than the factory sliders at protecting the doors. :-) IMG_4961.jpeg

Since we are looking at offering sliders, what do you all prefer for frame mounted? Weld on or bolt on? I think weld on is better but I know bolt on is preferred by some. Just trying to decide what we want to offer. We may offer a body mounted and a frame mounted.

Bolt on. I want to do it myself, and without having to worry about the wiring along the top of the frame.

I have Rockslide Engineering sliders that bolt on to the body and frame (sharing the body bolt mounts). They are beyond sturdy for my use.
