Fake Engine Sound?

So this is becoming a hot topic, apparently, we more than likely have some type of fake engine sound piped in IF we have the Lux package.

Does it occur with and without the stereo on?

If we disable it in Forscan are there any pro’s or Con’s?

Throwing it out here hoping someone actually knows an answer…

I hadn't noticed anything...

CO OBX 2dr. 2.7l, 4.27 rear locker, tow, Lux, Aux switches, roof rails, Roast Leather. 7/14/20 res, 1/30/21 order.

The engine sound over the speakers really is a thing on many performance-positioned cars and I would not be surprised if it was on the full-size. According to MT, Ford does it on the Sport.

They say its to help you perceive when the motor is working hard when you are on one of the goat modes. I thought that was what the Tach was for, but what do I know.

Just throwing this out there. My wife has the Bronco Sport Badlands. What I noticed when I put it into 'SPORT MODE" that is when the fake exhaust rumble is piped into the car. Only in that mode. I am not sure if that is the same in the regular Bronco but I will let you know as soon as I get my WildTrak which begins getting built tomorrow. ;)

They pipe it into the Ranger also . I'll have to pay more attention to when/if it does it only in certain modes . I have Forscan but it has never bothered me so I haven't disabled it .

You wouldn't think the Corvette would need it but that was the first vehicle I read about fake engine sounds being piped into the cabin .
