It does not outright void your warranty. BUT, if you have an issue, and your auto tech and/or Ford determines the issue/failure was caused by or impacted by your mod… then yes, your warranty claim can be denied.

That's pretty much what I figured, probably not worth it just to avoid pushing the button when I start it

The ford performance tune will not void the warranty if an ASE mechanic or ford dealership installs it. Leathal performance has them the cheapest.

Your right it doesn’t void the warranty. It just shortens the powertrain warranty by 2 years and 24 thousand miles from the vehicles in service date. Premium fuel also required.

The issue regarding modifications done to a vehicle that is still covered by the new vehicle warranty or a Ford Protect plan is best understood by reading the statement below:What is not covered by this agreement - Repairs caused by...alterations or modifications of the Vehicle, including the body, chassis, or components, after the Vehicle leaves the control of the manufacturertampering with the emissions systems or with the other parts that affect these systems ( as for example, but not limited to; exhaust and intake systems)the installation or use of any part not approved by, or authorized by, the Vehicle's manufacturer ( other than "certified" emission parts), or any part designated for "off - road use only" installed after the Vehicle leaves the manufacturer's control.
