It depends.

It does not outright void your warranty. BUT, if you have an issue, and your auto tech and/or Ford determines the issue/failure was caused by or impacted by your mod… then yes, your warranty claim can be denied.

That's pretty much what I figured, probably not worth it just to avoid pushing the button when I start it

The ford performance tune will not void the warranty if an ASE mechanic or ford dealership installs it. Leathal performance has them the cheapest.

Your right it doesn’t void the warranty. It just shortens the powertrain warranty by 2 years and 24 thousand miles from the vehicles in service date. Premium fuel also required.
Yes there’s strings attached.

How so? and how does it work with the extended warranty?

Statement from Ford Extended Warranty:

Will my Ford Protect plan be void if I install aftermarket parts and accessories?
The issue regarding modifications done to a vehicle that is still covered by the new vehicle warranty or a Ford Protect plan is best understood by reading the statement below:What is not covered by this agreement - Repairs caused by...alterations or modifications of the Vehicle, including the body, chassis, or components, after the Vehicle leaves the control of the manufacturertampering with the emissions systems or with the other parts that affect these systems ( as for example, but not limited to; exhaust and intake systems)the installation or use of any part not approved by, or authorized by, the Vehicle's manufacturer ( other than "certified" emission parts), or any part designated for "off - road use only" installed after the Vehicle leaves the manufacturer's control. Examples of such parts include, but are not limited to: lift kits, oversized tires, roll bars, cellular phones, alarm systems, automatic starting systems and performance - enhancing powertrain components. The warranty is not voided per se, but a repair claim would be denied.

Right - but I mentioned the ford performance tune and per ford performance:

"Performance Packs and Components are warranted for factory-supplied material or workmanship when correctly and completely installed on a late model Ford vehicle by an authorized Ford or Lincoln Dealer, Shelby American, Inc., or an automotive service technician certified by the Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) or endorsed by the Red Seal Program (RSE). This Performance Packs and Components Limited Warranty begins upon installation and registration of the part(s) with Ford Performance and remains in effect for the balance of 36 months or 36,000 miles / 60,000 kilometres, whichever occurs first, calculated from the start date of the manufacturer's New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Installation of these select Ford Performance warranted performance packs and components by an authorized installer will NOT void your New Vehicle Limited Warranty. Engine, driveline and suspension concerns not caused by the use of Ford Performance parts remain eligible for warranty coverage according to the terms of the New Vehicle Limited Warranty."

This part of statement.

How about when Ford claims that the use of their product CAUSED the concerns ? Then it’s on you…
