I’m not sure if I would find these useful. It takes less than 5 minutes to remove the 2 front tops.

I take my front top panels off and leave them in the garage. I wouldn't mess with altering the function of the panels. They need adjustments over time. Locking them in place with adhesive tape seems like asking for trouble. And the factory sound deadening would peel off eventually.

Nah.

If you're gonna go through the trouble of that one of the best top soft top front replacements would probably be better. IMO.

Which I will probably be springing for in the future. One thing I'm thinking I should have done was stick with the soft top. I'm enjoying riding around w/o the top more than I thought that I would when the weather is nice. But I find removing the panels to not be worth the trouble for short trips. And especially this time of year when it's 40* in the morning and a perfect top off high 60's low 70's in the afternoon. But taking them off just for the trip home from work isn't worth it. Now, had I ordered with a soft top, I could do just that. Anytime I Wanted.

On top of that, now that we're having the high 30's and low 40's temps at night, those seals between the panels are contracting and causing whistling noises and popping noises as the tops shift when I hit bumps. It goes away as the day warms up, or as the heater warms the inside, but it's still really annoying at first.

Does it dry? I'd hate to get it all over me when removing the top later.

No - it stays gooey but, that’s how it works. Use it sparingly like a thin layer, a little goes a long way…

I use the stuff that Ford recommends that is similar, if not the same. It is pricey though, so will probably try this next time. I will say that a little goes a long way, and it looks like it will be awhile before I use all the other.

I have a lot of reservation concerning that. One being that I wonder if the inside of the tops are resistant to UV rays like the other side is ?
