Happy Fall !!
So, I've had the hard top off for a few days. And while its been off I've been thinking about all the rubber gaskets that are part of the roof, doors, and windows. Over the last five years I've wondered how good the actual exposed pieces of rubber on the Broncos will last. Unlike window seals on cars and trucks the rubber is not hardly as refined, shiny and slick. Which leads me too, how is yours holding up? Is it drying out, getting dull and inhibiting mold, dirt in the pores? Before I put the rook back on, I used a wet lint free rags and wiped down all the seals. Some where clean, some were dirty.. and some had sand trapped on them from Silver Lake Sand Dunes 😂....they all cleaned up rather well. But the exposed rubber along the windows is looking a bit weathered by the outside elements. What are yall using that helps preserve the exposed rubber without harsh chemicals that will make them discolor? I will not use Armor All on them as I feel like it does clean and make shiny again. But long term effects is my concern. Any detailers in here, have suggestions? Or just keep them wiped clean and drive it? I plan to have this Bronco forever. So anything to prolong the integrity of the gaskets and seals from water penetration is what im looking for.
