First windshield 2k miles
Second windshield 28 days later
Third windshield now and I decided it was time to put something over the glass. All damage was from highway.

I'm sure you could. Should you though? If you have the experience.

I don’t think so, I think my installer said you had to be a dealer.

Thanks for the info. I looked online and the nearest installer for me is almost 9 hours away. Would most likely break my windshield just trying to get there.

There is 1 installer in town. Cost $495.
How much would a windshield replacement cost?

my deductible is 500 but I’ve had 3 windshields already in 27,000 miles. I don’t like having my bronco tacked apart like that every 3-4 months

My first one was in WV on a road trip and the last 2 were from construction areas on 75n in Cincinnati which has been under construction for years.

Another option that I am considering is from Targe Industries. They make a pre-cut, pre-shrunk vehicle window kits they brand as Windshield Gard® from ClearPlex film (clearplex.com), a made-in-the-USA clear film invented to protect windshields from road debris.
Cost is at $200 for a DIY kit. LINK: https://www.grab-gard.com/collections/consumers/products/ford-bronco-windshield-protection-kit

This is what I have on mine. I have been happy with it. It was way easier to install than what the OP showed in his video.

I went to check against price, and I can't seem to find anywhere even selling exoshield, except for to their dealers? I was getting quotes on exoshield around $500.

This "mod" is very close to the top of things to do to my Bronco when it arrives. Worth every cent, I'm sure. Even if you have to have it redone in a few years. Preventive action is better than no action!
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Had mine done. Installer dropped the price to $400. Website states 2-4 years but with good care, can last a lifetime.

So the same life expectancy as the DIY kit I installed it looks like. $400 was a good price, I was getting quoted higher than that, which is why I went with the kit I installed, the exoshield installer I talked to said it was just as good of film and it was quite a bit cheaper. He said that for both films, 2 years is about right for a daily driver like my Bronco and that the longer amounts of time is only if its a weekend driver you keep in the garage. This is what I put on: https://www.grab-gard.com/products/ford-bronco-windshield-protection-kit

I put a ceramic coating over mine, its working great.

I have ceramic pro, I had the ceramic pro installer add it to my windshield when he did the body. I'm not sure if it's technically compatible with the film or not, but it worked and didn't mess up the film for mine.

I've seen some people do their own ceramic coating installs as well, so might be a way to save money.
