So, I ordered the 2.7, F150 engine cover cause I just can't stand looking at all that spaghetti when I open the hood. Well, as expected, it is a lot more complex than I supposed (of course). In the end, I am pretty damn sure I can get her to look stock. Seems this cover, as are most of Ecoboost 2.7s is not set up for the twin-turbo model; with this, you have to remove the brackets for the twin set of tubes in three spots, pop two of the tubes, and unclick several vacuum tubes, plus wires. On top of all this, I was continuously cutting up and sanding-in access points for said noted tubing and vac lines (just about every damn corner on the original cover).
With a fine veneer blade and a belt sander and much hand sanding, in the end, it will look cool; but I have to fab a bracket to pick up the last and lowest rear mounting bolt.
I still have another hour or so, as I have to fab a stainless bracket and make an access panel for the passenger side (see pics), then a whole boat-load of sanding/polishing. I will def post when finished, as I am a little more than halfway through (snow day today, school was closed! Yay!).
