so when is the end date for 22 bronco production? its getting close to where id rather have a 23 bronco i have no vin # yet, and would not want my 22 bronco sitting for months waiting for a chip when they are already producing the 23 broncos. Its been over a year since my loaded Wildtrak was ordered. is anyone else thinking this way ? the way things are going i will probably be pushed to 23 anyway lol

Mid-November is when the cutover from 2022 to 2023 is currently scheduled. Assuming Ford sticks to that schedule, final scheduling for 2022 should occur early-to-mid September.

In the current market situation I personally would want the older model year vehicle. Vehicle manufacturers have been removing features from vehicles to reduce the number of necessary microchips. So far the features removed from the Bronco have been fairly minor and non-consequential (like temperature readouts on the climate control knobs). But, never know what they'll do for 2023... and when you combine that with the year-over-year price increases, I definitely would want the older model year vehicle.

Last year the cut off was 12 Dec 2021, but they were still building 2021's into the 3rd week of December. Must be they moved it ahead a month this year.

I got my 2021 on 27 Dec 2021. I'm glad I got a 2021 instead of a 2022.

A comment and an image grab from another forum:

'2023 Job 1 to start Nov 14. So doesn’t seem likely that they’ll keep building 22s into December.'

Sorry for not understanding completely, but what to these two mean?

Do I have until 7/15 to change or add to my order? Or was 7/4 the cut off?

Thanks.

Donlen is a fleet management company. They need to get their final orders in sooner. For an individual order, you would have till 7/15 to make your changes.

@Dogula is correct.

There are three different types of orders: fleet, stock, and retail. Each have their own due dates. Our orders are retail orders, stock orders are dealer orders that they put on their lot for sale, and fleet orders belong to business and governments.

Bronco retail orders were due March, fleet orders are due this month, and stock orders are still open (for now). The last day you will be able to modify your order is August 28th (subject to change).

I figure I'll load up the Wildtrak with the tow package and other stuff that will delay it. I won't have it this Summer to use it either, so it might as well get turned into a 23. Frustrating after 20 plus years of being out in the woods once a month or so. 2 Summers in a row without a wheeler is rough on me.

Yesterday morning at 3:23a.m. I received an email from Ford that my February ‘21 ordered OBX SAS starting in Production April 7th 2022, has finally been build. Can you beilieve it? I was wondering where it’s been the last three months and has it been outdoors? Unprotected? It’s suppose to be at my dealer on July 23rd-29th. This is the forth deliver promise my dealer has received from Ford. We’ll see if it actually arrives. 1657493035488.png

Yes, I feel the exact same way.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

Because vehicles can't go outside, oh no, they would be unprotected. Kind of like my 2002 Sport Trac which has never been garaged it's entire life and looks just fine.

I vaguely remember there were some MY21 Broncos being built still in January 2022 weren't there? I think with all these logistical and chip issues they may not stick with the MY23 cutover date that the other models have if it's anything like the change from 21 to 22

Sitting outside undriven can cause all kinds of problems, especially brake issues.
