With all the set backs so far with the Bronco, I decided to do a little retail therapy and put together an emergency Bag. This isn't a bug-out bag, but something for road/trail emergencies. This is my bag:

As a Boy Scout and son of a shade tree mechanic, I've always had a tool box or tool bag in every vehicle I've owned. Not wanting canabilize from my existing tool boxes, I put this together:
20210615_170439.jpg20210615_170835.jpg
We've got:
* 16' jumper cables
* Entrenching tool
* 16" kukri, 10" tanto, 3.5" folder, box cutter
(because knives are cool)
* Led flashlight
* Work gloves
* Paracord bracelet
* Duct tape
* Red/Black electrical tape
* Bailing wire
* Assorted zip ties
* 2 x cheap ponchos
* 2 x space blankets
* Waterproof cover for bag
*Fold-out reflective hazard triangle
* 1/2" 3/8", and 1/4" ratchets and sockets
* Magnetic Phillips and Standard Screwdrivers
* Assorted pliers

And we've also got the attached first aid kit

With:
* Israeli bandage
* Tourniquet
* CPR mask
* Assorted bandage pads
* Medical tape and stretch adhesive bandage
* Assorted Band-Aids
* Tweezers and blunt-nose scissors
* Generic aspirin, ibuprofen, triple antibiotic ointment, generic Imodium, generic Claritin, caffeine pills

My first thought is you have way too much stuff. On second thought, you have way too much stuff. Redundancy begets complexity. KISS.

I figured the pool table makes a better backdrop than my dirty, messy, disorganized work bench

Definitely with be accessing Molle attachment points for all of my former military gear. Molle systems are a smart way of getting gear up and out of the way.

I work for the company that makes all those generic meds. We are one of the largest manufacturers of over the counter store brand medicines.

Showed my wife this list, she noticed the Imodium right away. Then comments, this is man with some experience in things going wrong, and that’s not a small supply! (y)

Nicely done! I’ve been similarly crafty in my preparation to get my bronco in a couple months… or decades. I’ve made idk how many sets of 550 cord grab handles and paracord fasteners from things I’m sure I’ll have dangling around in the cabin. Also made small travel first aid/ survival sets for me and my buddies that consist of flint fire starters, compact can openers, some aspirin and Dramamine and little rolls of TP in tin cans attached to paracord quick draw ties. I’m a total hippie and I keep my daily hygiene routine and purchases minimalist/ plastic free (y’all I even started making my own shoes out of scrap leather it’s that bad) so I have lots of leather laying around. I’m starting to make leather tool rolls that will hang on the MOLLE panels and be stashed under the seats for roadside recovery and whatnot.

The only thing I’m missing is a solution to the shotgun rack I want inside. Not sure if I want it hanging from the roll bars securely with iron buckles or if I want one of those old school style racks that sit in the rear window. That’s TBD, until I see a 2-door Bronco in person and I can take precise measurements.

Great job .... The boy scout moto has always stuck ... BE PREPARED!!

I have a "bug out" bag hanging by my back door. More for when society breaks down... and it is every man for himself. I have most everything you listed ... as well as water purification pump... a 16oz bag of rice... bug spray... ( a little chitty chitty bang bang and extra bang).

I also keep a 4wheel bag in the Bronco.

Extra fluids
tools
rope
shovel
duct tape
space blanket
rain poncho

Not a doomsday prepper by any means ... but i do have a plan... and a map of gas piplines and railroad spurs out of the city. Once it goes south .... interstates will be death traps .. Hence owning a 4wheel drive.

All it took was a ransom wear attack on a pipeline to cause widespread panic buying and hoarding..... What do you think will happen if it really gets bad.
