Anyone else watch/read the Edmunds post(s)?

More of the same I guess. Battle for off road supremacy, but the Bronco wins because of on road handling.

Off road: Jeep > Bronco
On road: Bronco> Jeep

That’s funny because I’m not that impressed with the Bronco’s feel on the road with MT tires compared to my Wrangler Sahara with highway tires. I think it’s less apples to apples when you consider the tire factor. Also my Jeep is a 4xe so it uses very little gas which is another factor this comparison might not take into account. A Rubicon 4xe is about $10k more expensive than a Badlands but you also don’t have to wait a year or more to get one and with the $7500 tax credit and in some places additional rebates/dealer discounts you can end up about the same out of pocket.

I like both but I don’t see the Bronco being a great DD based on fuel costs alone. In terms of looks, tech, and function it wins but cost of ownership isn’t so great with the poor fuel economy.

We just traded in our 4DR Wrangler for our new 2022 Bronco Outer Banks. In my opinion, Edmunds has written a quite objective and solid comparison. Ford needs to refine the soft & hard tops a bit (which will happen) and Jeeps are super capable. The tech and interior of my Bronco blows away our Wrangler. It certainly handles better as a DD. I've been a huge fan of Jeep, but the Wrangler is a bit dated in certain areas. I'm even less impressed with the new Grand Cherokees (one of which I was hoping to buy). The engine in those "new" vehicles is still an 11 year old Pentastar.

The Ford Bronco will hopefully push Jeep to innovate and compete which will be fun to watch!PXL_20220406_160555650.jpg

Funny that early reviews of the Ford interior is that it feels or looks cheap.

I think the reviewer was expecting Champagne for beer prices.

The interior looks good but they definitely dropped the ball on color matching "oh shit" handles. Blue and brown clash so hard it's not even funny.
