Dying to Upgrade tires to 35's on Badlands non-sas

I LOVE my Bronco, but I've gotta say honestly I'm already regretting some of my build choices.

1. I regret compromising on the top for quick delivery from the MIC. I plan to order one as SOON as they're available to purchase from Ford
2. I regret compromising on the tow package which I've already ordered.
3. I am MOST regretful for not ordering the Sasquatch package know I'd be wanting to take my bronco out on the trails because it was only a few thousand more than I paid for my Badlands

My questions:

Am I causing any long term damage to my vehicle by just lifting and adding 35's to it, to go out on the trails.
Do I need to consider a making changes to my transmission to take it off road (and just drive it on the road for that matter)

I did the Off-Roadeo in Texas, and I don't recall seeing 33's on ANY of those vehicles.

HELP!

Yeah, any driving is going to cause long-term damage. I expect the amount of smiles you get from driving it outweigh the damage, even adding 35" tires. No mods to the transmission, just drive it like you stole it.

I drove BL 33” at offroadeo in Moab. Did everything the Sasquatch equipped did, maybe a little more rear control arm scraping - but nothing too significant! Drive it, enjoy, plenty of time to put bigger tires on em, right? Probably need a lite suspension mod for 35s, too.

I drove a badlands no squatch at NH off rodeo. I had no problems off road . Unless you need the extra clearance , I wouldn’t worry about going off road. I prefer a wider 33 over the 35”pizza cutters. 924DD1FE-C8F4-46A0-B1A2-6AFCE3EB2DDE.jpeg

For the hardtop, go to Craigslist and find some ahole who’s flipping their Bronco. Ask if they’d swap their hardtop for a soft top and some cash. I got a hardtop with roof rails for my truck this way.

And a suggestion for the lift and 35s, see if anyone has some take offs from their Sas..

Aren't the 35" tires 315 and the 33" 285? Thats the width in millimeters, so wider 35s.

Obviously, 35's are wider otherwise there is no reason for the wider fenders on the Broncos with the 315's

The offset for the Sas pushes the wheels out as well. +55 on non sas. +30 on sas.

HELP!

We just put a 2" lift on our non Sas big bend. We installed 17x 9 +18mm offset. The tires are 315/70 r 17 Nitto Terra Grappler G2. It is to early to know of any long term damage. The Vehicle is set up for that set up from the factory, so I assume very little.

We plan on lifting the Black Diamond over 4" plus 37-40"tires. that may be a little more wear, but will be replacing a lot of components to do so.

100% accurate. 315 and 285 refer to the width of the tire edge to edge in millimeters. The ‘70’ refers to a percentage of the sidewall height relative to the aforementioned width so the 70% of the 315 is greater sidewall height than the 285. The ‘17’ refers to the tire/rim size in inches. I always though this measurement system is confusing. MM, inches and a percentage all in one. Goofy.

with the +18 instead of the +30 that it came with, are your tires sticking out outside of the fender flares? Do you mind posting a head on picture to see the difference in the offset?

It sticks out just a little bit with the stock non Sas flares.

Counter argument... the non-sas Badlands on 33's get you more articulation? You've got a great truck, I say just go use it.

You realize the post I was quoting refers to the 35s as pizza cutters, which would mean narrower than the 33s?

Right, but the tire alone is roughly just over an inch, inch quarter wider. Then add offset you could get much farther out
