Dumb question about the Bronco's trunk

Hey guys, does anyone know what the little plug and square plastic object are in the trunk? Left side, just below the window (in the center of the picture):



There's also a rather large open area just above these mystery objects. Is this normal or am I missing some kind of panel right here (just below the MIC hard top)?

For those of us less fortunate soft top owners, those “receptacles” are for the electrical & washer fluid connections when not installed directly to to hard top. Altern, you can use them to store these 2 items when you take your top off!

And for those soft top owners who received before the mid Sept. of '21 (when they announce all softies would come with hard top hookups) you will see this:
