Has anyone heard about any different exhaust systems on the Bronco Outer Banks? With the 2.7L V6

Thanks :D

I'll be looking at Magnaflow for a dual exhaust and better sound.

There's already placeholder pages up on different sites for aftermarket exhausts. Maybe look for clips of F150's with the same engine. It's hard to make a V6 sound good, but it can be done.

About 16 years ago when the current model Nissan Z came out I was at the dealer looking at one that they had loaded up with exhaust and a few other things. The sales guy answered when I asked about what the $2600 exhaust system did for the car. He started it up revved it a few times and said can't you hear the power increase? I asked if he had a before and after dyno chart and he looked at me like I was an alien. From what I've seen in most dyno runs changing the exhaust actually removes power in many cases unless the car is purposely restricted on that end and has the front end that supports more flow. Many performance people know it is pretty hard to improve on the stock exhaust given most these days are highly tuned for the engine and SS for durability. Turbos are even more affected by the exhaust changes and mostly not in a good way. I must be getting old since noisy cars and trucks for the most part annoy me now. My two Jaguar F Types were the exception. When my wife was not in the car I would put it in sport plus so the exhaust would open up. Even when my wife was in the car I would hit the exhaust switch for overpasses and tunnels. It sounded angry and powerful and it was. I just never got why Jaguar revved the car at startup every time. I generally leave early in the morning for road trips and I did not like the rev at start thing when I'm trying to go out without disturbing the peole around and my dogs. My neighbor's son has a Hyundai with a fart exhaust which I think is a Borla. I know every time he leaves or comes home and my home is very insolated for sound. Some engines will never sound good regardless of the exhaust system. I pretty certain this is not something I will be doing unless there is proof that significant power increases would come from the change, and minimum noise would be gained. Sorry I've become an old man.

Yep I learned my lesson with dual exhaust. I had a 1994 Camaro with a V6 and I added duals to. It sounded great at idle but once you started to rev it up you could tell it wasn’t a V8. Even added a supercharger to the car for more power which it did but still sounded funny to me. I was trying to get the sound of my first car a straight piped 1975 Mustang 302.

I bet that V8 had a whopping 120 HP stock ,LOL . I had a '73 Mercury Comet GT with a 302 when I was in 10th grade . With a cam,headers/dual exahust, and bored .30 over it had at least 225 HP ! It had a 3spd on the floor and after I put in a barnett clutch it would tote the front wheels at launch . Mom made me sell it when she saw it do that :(

yeah I got that car when I was in 8th grade . It was my buddies car and he had just had the Motor rebuilt it was definitely putting out 200+hp. It was an automatic and I could break the wheels loose in third with ease. Fun car but some A-hole ran into it while I was at work. Caused $3500 in damages I only paid $1000 for the car. But I did fix it up nice enough to win second place at the 25th anniversary Mustang show (in my class 1974-1989) about 3 month before the hit and run.

Back in college, I worked on a Formula SAE team. We had a 600CC 4 cylinder engine. We made that thing sound pretty sweet.

Keep the faith in Ford and the stock exhaust. Expect a sweet exhaust sound through Ford's "Active Noise Control." It's in recent model year trucks and I suspect it'll be in the Bronco as well.
