I keep seeing the line "removal of doors for off-road use only". How many of you are going to ride doorless when not off -road? I know i will be.

The Jeep Wrangler owner's manual has similar language.

Hmmm... I get the disclaimer - Ford’s CYA. Anyone would/should do it.
But didn’t Ford promote their mirror design so that you COULD drive legally with the doors off?

I think that was not the implication they were going for specifically. More of a you dont need to worry about your mirror if you take the door of in a state that allows that kind of thing. Being able to use an AM door that I dont have to worry about fixing the mirror to will is awesome. All the tech in some of those mirrors will be hard to deal with if you have to mount it to tube doors or some AM.

i know in my state (MA) they have a requirement to have at least 2 mirrors (side and rear view) in order to operate the car sans doors. This will be great... and I cant wait to drive door less.

Yup. All states require at least left exterior and the interior.

Per the Maryland MVA, 'there is no law requiring the vehicle to have doors....' as long as there are mirrors. A win for Bronco.

Never driven a vehicle without doors. Have driven a few without seats though. I am sure I will do it a few times but I think it will only be the times I’m traveling to go off roading. Here in Texas when it’s doorless weather it is also crazy thunderstorm from nowhere weather and we get heavy rains may not be for long but it is heavy.

Check out the PA law. Its VERY silly:

Currently, the PA inspection code states - § 175.77 (f) Doors. A vehicle specified under this subchapter shall be equipped with doors of a type used as original equipment. The doors shall open and close securely unless the vehicle has been manufactured or modified to the extent that there is no roof or side.

some sections ignore the lack of door on a Jeep others say only if the top is off can the doors be off it seems to just be cop dependent if you get that ticket. The fact mirrors will be body mounted is a HUGE plus for me. BUT I will likely have to have at least tube doors for on road driving. Unless I have the roof off, maybe, perhaps, depending on the district I am in, and the cop I run into, and if I can hold my tongue when pulled over.

My Harley does not have doors or windshield or seat belts but has mirrors witch I like. It's nice to think for myself once in awhile.
