Simple modification today - Door sill guards for the Bronco.

These do not seem like a big upgrade but if you have kids, pets, or have lots of traffic getting in and out of your Bronco regularly, these sills should do a nice job of protecting that painted area that people sometimes use as a step to enter/exit the vehicle. It also should had a layer of protection reducing any slipping getting in/out of the vehicle. They are not expensive. This one we have was bought on Amazon and had a 8% discount on it. It is listed for $27.88 and after the discount and taxes, we paid $27.77. There are lots to choose from with a variety of designs on them on Amazon.

Nice addition! That area gets pretty scratched after heavy use. My first Bronco (bought used after a season at Off-Roadeo) was beat up right there. Thanks for sharing the information and your install.

That was my concern. Thanks for validating it!

Good you can decide on the ones you wanted, I keep thinking better ones will come out so I wait. That is what I get for dragging my feet, literally. 😂

For us, the most important thing was for protection. Looks are important also but most are black with similar pattern designs to the Bronco floor mats. I kinda like the 1966 because of the insert design. The Ford ones are $109 which I think is high. CJ Pony parts has one that was $49 but only for two. They did have the bronco logo on it but it is hard to see what they actually look like. Make the best decision based on design and function. Some are more like tape-I avoided those. I wanted one with more substance to it. Best of luck-let me know what you find!! I appreciate the validation of getting them soon also.

Yeah some of the guards only cover the flat plane on top, those clearly wouldn’t have helped. So I need something like the ones you got that wrap around. I’m not sweating the wear too much, my brother owns his own business doing touch ups for dealerships so this is really an easy fix for him. So I’ll probably have him touch up the area then add the protectors. I plan on keeping this thing forever so patina doesn’t bother me.
