Does Ford's 6th Gen Bronco engineering get better year after year?

Hey all. Wondering if Ford like some other manufacturers makes little improvements as the technology, and engineering stay the same year after year. You know how they say be careful of a first year or a refresh model? I hope Ford will have fine tuned things over time, improving on the manufacturing and finding better ways to build their vehicles. Can anybody speak on this?

My '21 has been flawless aside from the infamous light switch and wiper switch issues. They were taken care of at oil changes, did not notice a time delay. Change does not mean improvement, they took two simple, reliable mechanical parts, turned them loose on engineers who decided they need to be computerized...

they have made improvements, and one day they might get a good hard top. LOL 😂 seriously they have updated the 2.3l Ecoboost it now has port and direct injection to help with valve carbon build up. They upgraded the power brakes to hydroboost instead of vacuum. They upgraded the dash gauge cluster and added AC vents in the back on the 4-doors. They have an upgraded steering and upgraded suspension, That said just because it is new and more technical doesn’t mean it will automatically be better, we still remember the 6.0L powerstoke fiasco. But these are proven power trains and a seasoned vehicle. I love my 22 with 46k miles on it.

I also have had no issues with my '21; I'm glad I secured it. There were a lot of eyes on early production, and I think that helped break the "no first year/refresh" warning. You might find "Is the Ford Bronco Reliable?" helpful.

They also improved the soft top as they went too; the rear windows were pretty wrinkly/saggy. The parking brake handle was reversed somewhere between '21 and '22, '22.5? People were pulling hard and breaking them. And in 2022, Ford added a rear sway bar for 4-doors with Sasquatch and Wildtraks with HOSS 3.0, before that became standard for the trim (Which Bronco Series Have the Rear Sway Bar in 2022?).

From the sounds of it, you may be looking into purchasing? What trims are you considering? Any hangups the community can help you decide on?

Like most manufacturers, they'll make small refinements each year to fix issues, introduce minor improvements, etc.

The major changes are reserved for mid-generation refreshes. Ford doesn't always do mid-generation refreshes, but when they do, it's usually done every 4-6 years, give or take. We haven't had one for the Bronco yet.
