Do they all suck, or did I just get a lemon??

Ford guy all my life, so you know I wasn't buying a Jeep when I wanted to downsize from an F250.

I bought a new, 70k 2026 Badlands Sasquatch with the "Lux" package last month. Put about 1000 miles so far. Thought maybe this issue would shake out. I was wrong.

My gasket between the roof panels and the frame are hot garbage. I'm not talking about "wind noise", which I expected. I ride motorcycles, who cares about wind noise.

I'm talking about a whistling from a gap on the drivers roof panel, a creaking when you hit a pebble on the passengers side, and if there is a crosswind, forget it. Fairly certain the whole roof will lift off, which at this point, who cares.

I made the mistake 2 weeks ago of renting a Jeep in Florida, and absolutely none of that.

Are they all this shoddy? I expected the cheap plastics on the interior, rust on the underside already, etc. That I was ok with.

We have a '23 Wildtrak with MIC hardtop with no problems. Two wheelers here too, and I switch out the front with a Suntracker rag top during the summer. Our MIC top's gaskets get cleaned & silicone lube bath with these changes twice a year.

Sounds like your top gaskets are damaged? Are the panels correctly installed? Something just ain't right..

I am going to state the obvious so please forgive me. I would do a couple of things, (this is the obvious so again I apologize)
Check all the latches sometimes they aren’t all the way locked and work loose.
Pull the front and middle roof panels and clean and inspect them. The get some silicone based gasket grease in a tube or get one of the dauber type silicones and treat the gaskets. I would remove the panels and treat the gaskets 3 times a year. For me I start to notice the panels popping and whistling, especially after offroad adventures. Every time I have done this it has taken care of the issue. There are some other ways to mitigate this issue like putting a thin piece of felt in the holes that the roof pins go into. There are also ways to adjust the latch mechanisms. I would try the fixes I talked about and if of no help take it in and have the tech adjust the panel latches. Not sure if there have been any additional service bulletins or recalls on the tops besides the ones previously issued in prior years.
