Differences in tops.

The modular top is painted black and the rear side windows are removable. At least on the 4-doors

The Molded In Color (MIC) top is currently 'Carbonized Gray' in color, and the Modular Painter Hard Top is covered with a high gloss Shadow Black paint (not my fave).

Take a look at the photos they've been posting from the King of Hammers event this week and you might notice that the MIC top now appears to darker in color, looks almost 'Black' like the fender flares (what I'm hoping for).

Depends on what you're wanting. The MIC is plastic so it will be more durable to scratches, etc, but people are also worried about sun fade. The painted black top can be wrapped or painted a different color much easier. I know the MIC cannot be wrapped, according to my buddy who does wraps. Also as you know, the rear windows can be taken out of the painted top, and not the MIC (4 door).

Mod top on 2 door also has an additional removable panel above the rear seats, looks like you could have nearly topless driving experience but still enough structure for the roof rack

I didn't know the windows couldn't be removed out of the 4D MIC....bummer

Yes, I had seen all of that, and also everywhere that states what has been said since the beginning. They were obviously wrong, but it was said that due to customer demand, blah, blah, blah, both tops would now come with removable side windows. I found it strange when I read it, as that was one of my struggles going with the MIC top.
