How have you interacted with your dealerships? What are some of the ways they reach out to you?

What reach out to me. I don’t think they know how a phone works. I have had 3 salesman since I converted my reservation on January 22. I just found out when I rolled into the dealership on Saturday to test drive their mannequin.

Aces is correct. It is up to us to stay on top of this whole process. We have to remember most dealerships and sales people are not invested in the process like we are. The are just in the business of selling vehicles. If we get lucky we find a salesperson or a sales manager who stays involved. Usually because they have one on order also.

Yeah I'm sure my salesman dislikes me due to how many time I had called. Long story short, I would call for updates since his system gives better details and updates more regularly than the site we all used to track our order.

I have received email for all the major updates, including when they stopped production on the hard tops, when they got the hard top issue sorted out, and most recently on October 4th, letting us know that 2021 scheduling is closed, when the 2022 MY ordering will open, what we can expect to see next (broken down by current status...eg delivered, in production, unscheduled clean priority code, order status 99, etc.), any additional info my Bronco Rep knows about upcoming colors and trim packages, info on the new tester model they just got in, and info on joining the local Indiana Broncos Facebook page. Props to Duane Adams at Don Hinds Ford for staying on top of things and really giving me the sense that he is invested in doing everything in his power to move things along and keep me informed.

Curious if any of that information came from Ford directly or from the dealership? I got the official news regarding the October 13th info from my dealership not Ford.

It's like pulling teeth. If I ask them a question and they get back to me within a month, it's a good month.

The dealership I am working with has been good. I typically no information before they do (thanks to everyone here) but they have been good about communicating with me. Phone, email and text. I have the a 4 door big bend demo for the next 24 hours from them.

Dealership Interaction

My favorite subject.I used to love my dealership, now ,well... I hope that asteroid thats headed toward earth lands on it.No communication, what little there is, is dismissive. They won't talk to you if you show up in person unless you have an appointment.
Dealers have issues with 2 doors, hard tops and 7spds. Tried 3 dealers, none will communicate if are looking for a 2 door, hard top 7spd. They ignore you.

I'd also advise to get pricing early. Once the vehicle is shipped to their location, then they'll start to tell you what you're going to pay...

My dealership has not been good at communication AT ALL. In fact, I have been the one to forward my Ford Manufacturing emails to them so they are informed on why I am calling. Oye. Knowing this, I am nervous about whether I should be calling them now about the MY22 issue? I did receive word from Ford 2 weeks ago that my production date is Oct 24th 2021. Heard nothing since. Am i going to be moved to MY22 and should contact my dealership asap? Or am I one of the last to get a MY21??? At this point, I honestly dont mind another delay but I will mind losing my reservation spot!

I think that if you have gotten a build date you should be all good! Can‘t be sure of the exact date of your build, but you should be driving it by the end of the year at the latest. Congrats!

In the beginning, the bronco rep reached out to me through emails and I believe texts largely to get me to convert my reservation. They were given marching orders from Ford, get 80% converted or lose allocation percentages., also at this point, the reservation holder can actually take their reservation to any other dealer, and many did... Many signed on to dealers promising discounts and dealers forming buying groups. Once my order was in, there was literally no communication and even if I called wondering 'what the f was gong on', I got the 'your vehicle should be here in July' or 'we will call you back'. This was when Ford first made it public that they had no idea what they were doing and clearly couldn't even schedule builds as promised. Months and months of bs on all levels, new bronco rep at dealer and it has been fine. I mean responsive with emails when I send one, but I would not expect to hear from your dealer if you are not contacting them. If they don't get back to you with a call or message, then you are best to show up at the dealership......

Its so frustrating because I love the dealership and service there too. We even took our dodge there for service! The Bronco is our 3rd ford from them. I am glad to see some Bronco Nation members have had very good communication with their dealer. I am trying to be patient as this type of ordering/purchasing vehicles is new for them too and with covid things were and still are very strange on top of it all! I am assuming since I have a vin and date for production that I will not be pushed to MY22. I will reach out to them on Monday however just to be sure. Even though they probably wont know much about it again : /
