Needless to say I was excited to see an email from the dealer that I hadn’t initiated. In the first line my hopes were crushed, the dealership is closing! Has anyone else gone through this? Do I have any say in which dealership I get moved to? “DEALER SAID “ ford will contact me when process is done, I NEED A DRINK!!!

I havent seen dealership closing, but I have seen Dealership was bought. I would get on the line with Ford and see where you can move to. I would want to have my answer ready to go if they ask. FoMoCo has really made it pretty impossible to move dealerships after orders are placed, but I would think this is one of the times they may be helpful. The Bronco Hotline number is 800-334-4375. They most likely will find your next local Ford Dealership for pickup of your Bronco when it arrives.
Also lucky for you when you say YOU NEED A DRINK it just so happens that @ResidualGenius Bar is now open till 2:00 am LOL

LMAO ! I know about the link, that’s why the quotes on dealer said.
Dealer closes = Not I have to drink, but I WANT TO DRINK!
And it’s 6AM
With allocations it could work out better??? Then again maybe not.

I've seen several cases of dealers changing ownership. But this is a first. I'd start researching other dealers and find one with low orders but a decent amount of allocations and is selling at MSRP. Then plead your case to Ford to get your order moved to one you find.

I’m presently at Pompano Ford in Pompano Beach Florida. How do I find out dealer allocations/ #orders? I thought that was like pulling teeth!

Takes time and patience. If a dealer isn't being transparent from the start, it's probably a good sign to move along.

Always a good thing when greedy Ford dealerships go bankrupt! Many dealerships will go under in the coming years. People will remember those dealerships that charged huge markups during tough times.

I have been saying this since early on. Dealers living for the now and trying to cash in are nothing more than opportunitists. They are more worried about taking advantage of the situation to make a quick buck instead of trying to build long term customer relationships. And they will pay the price in the future.

I quit buying vehicles in my state about 6 years ago because no one wanted to deal. I go to PA where dealers are more than willing to sell at invoice or below. Well I took a chance and ordered my Bronco from a semi local dealer here. They did right by me. MSRP and price protection without even having to ask. And great communication throughout the whole process. They will be my first stop the next time I buy.

@Bbrown728 Where did you end up with your dealer swap due to Pompano Ford closing? I also ordered at Pompano. Pompano says they can't do anything and Ford says all I can do is put a request for a specific dealer and my request may or may not be honored...

Good for you. Got mine at my local dealer in Grantsville MD for the agreed upon invoice price. Family owned for ~60 years. I hate to think about what would have happened if I still lived in Cecil County, dealers there are corporate and I have horror stories about both of them...

Yeah Cecil County Ford dealers are owned by Hertrich and Preston I believe. But I have no problem driving for a real good deal. Chapman is an hour an a half away. I've also got good deals at Reedman Toll and they are a little farther. I'm really surprised I ended up getting my Bronco from a Delaware dealer.
