It’s a 1/18 scale from Traxxas. 😆 I’ve had several 1/10 scale RC’s in the past and they make a 1/10 Bronco but in saving for parts for the real Bronco, I didn’t want to drop $500+ on a RC. So I went with this little 1/18. Was only $150. And it’s pretty dang fun!!!!

Best part is when it gets stuck or rolls, its easy to fix.

Love it! How’s the quality of the hard top? 😂

Pretty good. Roof rack seems strong too. Survived a pretty bad roll over. 🤣

Axial makes a 1/18 Bronco as well. Have you compared the two? I really like the Traxxas and I am really wanting the 1/10th TRX4 my son has a TRX4 with a Jeep body on it, this was before they had the Bronco. The wife and I both have 1/10 Redcat gen8 with IH Scouts. Here were are playing in the back yard. Oh and these things can get expensive too. 😂

They can get spendy for sure, I have about 1600 into a Bomber.
I have one if those Redcat Corn binders, pretty cool, but also have a couple Tamiya Gen6 , CC01 and CR01 Broncos.
Still want a Traxxas sunburst Bronco.

Axial’s are 1/10 and 1/24. And their 1/24 cost more than the traxxas. I’ve had several Axial SCX10’s and just wanted to try something different. And didn’t want to spend a lot on this one. Lol

Oh yeah that's right the Axial is a 1/24 just going off of memory. Never owned an Axial just Tamaya's (back in the 80's) Associated RC10 (in the 90s) a cheap ZD racing 1/8 buggy, some RedCats, Aarma, and Traxxas and some really cheap Duratrax Evaders. most of the Evaders have donated their parts to become something else like a boat. How is that Traxxas holding up? I was afraid it would be too small? But I was talking with a coworker that is a surveyor and has a 3d printer (and the Axial 1/24 '67 C10 crawler) about printing up some scale obstacles from trails like the Rubicon, or Black Gap. So we can do some Office crawling.

I have found that foam and a foam cutter is a lot easier than 3D printing for larger pieces like hills and boulders.

now that is a good idea. We were kicking around Ideas to mass produce these things actually using molded pulp. (see below) There was a Company that made rocks and stuff you could stack together out of the stuff but it was generic rocks and I think they went out of business. I think it would be cool to have an exact scale replica of little sluice or big sluice or all of Cadillac Hill, or hells gate or even the devils hot tub. the original thought would be to build a scale replica of the whole Rubicon trail but even at 1/24th scale it would be 9/10 of a mile. and most of it would be just trails driving to the next obstacle. I may need to think some more about this one.

I’ve been seeing a lot of photos/ads on social media of people using what appears to be thin MDF cut and pieced together to make obstacles. I’m sure some company is making and selling them and they look cool but, as mentioned above you can get creative with “trash” and have just as much fun. Styrofoam from packages, cardboard, scrap wood, rocks from the yard…. Lol.

Started working an indoor course for it. Lol. Got a lot of scrap from other projects so, here it goes. Long piece of OSB with wood & rock obstacles. I’ll glue the rocks down once I’ve got them where I want them. Once this board is done I’ll make another and then they can be arranged however laid out on the ground or sawhorses and stacked in the corner when I’m not using them. The rocks are faux stone from a stone water table on a house a friend built last year. These were scrap/left over and/or broken pieces that were gonna go in the dumpster. So I rescued them.
