Waiting for my 2022 Bronco order still...watched FMC Mustang unveil tonight. Think most the audience had to be woken up and most were Ford employees. Maybe that's why our orders are taking so long. Love my 2020 GT but the new kinda looks boring. Should of paid these production employees overtime tonight and built a few more reservation Broncos.

I watched it too. Lots of awkward silences and WAY too many high-fives. Not impressed with the interior. That slab of glass in front of the driver is as big as a billboard. If they were aiming for a video game console, they nailed it. I do like the tail lights, but it's going to take a while for me to warm up to that front end. Yup, sticking with the Bronco.
Chris here. I drive a 2-door Velocity Blue 2023 Ford Bronco Badlands with Sasquatch, Lux, a 2.7L V6, and an automatic transmission. It’s fun.

It was an okay reveal. I don’t know why so many companies do the stage events that include “casual conversations” that are actually completely scripted. It’s completely obvious to everyone that they’re scripted and you spend more time thinking about the cringy fake conversation than the topic they’re actually talking about.

But yeah, the Mustang itself looks solid.

I like the new 7th gen. The audience didn't get as excited as I would be. The commentator was a little cheesy and I was hoping for a GT500. I think the Dark Horse replaced the Mach 1.

Is it just me, or does anyone else have trouble telling all the different Mustang models apart? Seems like every time I turn around there's another new Shelby this or Shelby that...I go to a car show and there's 20 or 30 late model Mustangs that all look the same - scoops, spoilers, wings, stripes - meh. I drove an '88 LX 5.0 for years, still miss that car.

Hmm I wonder if I order a Dark horse which one will get here first. My Everglades or the Dark Horse. I like it it looks more like a Camaro with a flat front end. The wife wants a Camaro after the Bronco gets here maybe I can talk he into a Mustang.

No Camaro. Please no Camaro. Look at the figures. The S550 Mustang is far superior.

Came here looking for this. That travesty made me even happier I went with a Bronco. Meet the new Mustang same as the old but made to be ugly with a taurus/charger front and camaro tail. And that interior looks like a trash panda EV. And those headlights. Buzz your Mustang woof!

Dark horse is track only. Likely no VIN similar to the previous Boss302R/Boss302S cars

You know your doomed and your marketing people are inept and out of touch when they repeatedly reference vanilla ice. I swear between the mach e this new ford camaro ect I think Ford is trying to kill all loyalty so they can either send the stang to the glue factory or make it completely EV without customer push back. It's the Ford Probe all over again.

I am so disappointed to hear these comments. The last couple iterations of the Mustang have really honed in on a beautiful vehicle with just the right amount of homage to the original pony car. But of course they can't let it go at that, they have to tweak, and push, and pull, and soon enough you have another look at me I'm a cool ass, Euro looking, super car design (SEE: Corvette).

I hear the Camaro look alike comments which makes me even sadder. You're Mustang you have a rich history of design detailing, and cues, use that !!!

Eh... I think people may be a little hard on it.

If you took all of the Ford/Mustang branding off of it and just showed me the car with the body lines and the styling... pretty obvious it is a Mustang. Not sure what is with all of the comparisons to the Camero. Can't figure out what body queues people are seeing that would suggest it looks like a Camero, but... whatever I guess.

I do think the instrument panel & infotainment system is going to be controversial. I can completely understand the trepidation with that—and I do think it is a fair criticism. The baby boomers are going to want the old-school gauges. But the vast majority of baby boomers are in retirement, and likely have bought their last vehicles at this point. Meanwhile Gen X and the Millennials are now starting to build their wealth and are ready to buy these vehicles. Gen X is probably split between the old-style and new-style... but the Millennials are probably largely about the full-digital experience (hard to tell though, because I'm a Millennial and I prefer the old gauges).

I do think Ford did a better job on this Mustang instrument cluster than they did on the F-150 Lightning and the Mustang Mach-E. I don't understand the desire to effectively duck-tape a gigantic iPad to the dash of your vehicle. I know that's what Tesla did and I know it's popular but I literally cannot comprehend why people like that.

It's a soulless cabin interior.

I have owned every one of the Mustang generations with the exception of the second gen

Gotta say this reveal was incredibly disappointing.

Every gen of Mustang has an overtly different look.

To me Gen6 looks just like Gen7

And correct me if I am wrong, but the commentator said something like The mustang is North America's oldest production sports car.

What's the corvette then?

The new Mustang has a little lower roof line and the fenders are flaired out similar to the Camaro. I like cars with wide fenders, Conquest, 1966 AC Cobra, and 1980s Capri to name a few, I meant it as a compliment the Camaro is a sexy car and since 2010 it has made the Mustang look dated (to me) although the G6 was better this new Mustang modernizes it. there is no mistaking, it is a Mustang, I actually really like it. But the only Mustang I ever owned was a 1975 with the V8 so there's that.

I might be a little biased as this is what is sitting in my garage now waiting on its Bronco cousin.

Too many Camaro styling cues for my taste, I thought it was a Camaro at first glance.
