Car alarm going off

The hood sensor is a little wonky. Some folks have screwed in the hood stops about a quarter-turn and it stopped this issue.

I had the hood sensor go randomly on mine, and I gave it a good close, followed by a couple of pushes in the center (the sensor is in the latch). That did the trick for me. (knock wood)

Also make sure you let the hood slam shut. Same goes for the rear cargo hatch if you have soft top

Head to your dealership, they should replace free under warranty. This is a problem a bunch of Ford vehicles have, crappy sensor. I had the same problem and went to the dealer. They confirmed the hood open alerts (came through on FordPass) and ordered a replacement hood latch. The sensor is integrated so need the whole assembly replaced. It was covered by warranty so no cost.

Ok, the dealership adjusted the hood because it wasn't on square. It's been 5 days and the alarm hasn't gone off since. Seems like problem solved.

Great! While it may be a pain to go to the dealer it sounds like they took the issue seriously (as they should) and hopefully got to the root of the problem.

Update it started to go off again. This time I need to open the hood and close it or it will keep on going off. It did it 3 times in a row before I got off my ass went outside to slam the hood. Lol
