Can a dealer or Ford employee confirm or deny all 2022 orders will be built and delivered this year?

I have read some thread posts which alluded to Ford closing the door to new orders so that they could "catch up" on the backlog of 2021 and 2022 orders. I have also read that Ford intends to build and deliver all 22MY orders this year. I am wondering if there is a dealer or Ford employee "in the know" that can confirm or deny this information.

They will get through all 21MY(75,000+/-units) most likely given no other issues with constraints and I'd guess the majority of 22MY. Now, will a dealer tell you anything, no because they don't know either. Will FMC, NO because they are less than transparent to how they are handling the 21MY still waiting that had reservations from July 2020

FMC sent out emails stating those very things several weeks ago.

2022 ordering closed on March 7th. There is no commitment to meeting any sort of delivery timeline. Even people who have their VINs are seeing their build date pushed back multiple times. Ask any random person from Ford, and each one will give you a different answer. Ford has a customer service account here, but they only reply to posts about the most basic problems like a strange whistle or a scuff on the windows. They are powerless and answerless.

Unless they really ramp up production more and fix the allocation algorithm I don’t see how they will get all the ‘MY22 out this year. There will be folks pushed to MY23. Probably even first month reservation holders.

My father is a retired Ford employee so I’ve been leaning on him to pull information from his former coworkers. Nothing ”official,” just backchannel communications with Ford employees. Their intention is to deliver all 2021MY orders this year minus those waiting for the painted hard tops. Keyword in that statement is“intention”—no guarantees. So much of it is reliant on supply chains holding together, and a lot of the supply chain nonsense is simply outside of Ford‘s direct control.

I don’t know if the same can be said regarding 2022 orders, but I’ll text him and see if he knows.

ford ain't gonna start communicating now. and dealers only know what Ford tells them - which is hardly anything. This is a total fiasco - the monkeys are running the circus

None, been in this since before reservations opened and its all been the same with FMC, very little to no true communications with details or real-time numbers

That's what I've been reading between the line of the various emails from Ford. Much of their commitment is to any remaining MY2021 orders being built-in 2022. There have been some commitments to the Everglades and the Raptor, but less definite. And of course, they want to keep their factory busy, so they'll be building MY2022 vehicles as well, but there have been no commitments to those orders but for reservation holders with orders of those vehicles. They get price protection.

are 'words' and 'email' constrained items? I understand the shortages and global impact of covid. That's not what I'm pissed at Ford about. I'm angry at ford for the absolutely terrible job they've done of communicating with us since day 1

The dealer you use matters.... IE: if you got sucked into the internet hype that granger created them you are SOL. 190K orders in 2021 - 55K delivered - not everyone can be first. I can't believe I have over 11K miles already...

While I agree, the dealer you chose does matter, I’m not sure Granger created any “hype”. Granger simply said they would sell a Bronco for less than MSRP and they got punished for it. Ford, who has said many, many times that pricing is a dealer issue (see all of the complaints about dealers adding surprise ADMs), has removed Granger’s allocations because of they offered to sell less than MSRP. This isn’t “hype” so much as “hypocrisy” but to each their own. You have your opinion.

As frustrated as many people are, people must realize that Ford is a publically-traded company. Any remarks about their ability to deliver with certainty will be weighed by the market and definitely move the share price if they make a firm commitment then fail to deliver for whatever reason. Their intention is to deliver as many vehicles as they can. They get no joy from dissatisfied buyers. Tell China to abolish their zero-covid policy, Russia to stop their invasion of Ukraine, and earthquakes to stop shutting down Japan fabs. Maybe the supply chain could then work itself out.

Anecdotally, I spoke with my sales rep at a large dealer who gets about 30 Broncos a month. Nearly all of them have been Black Diamond trim or below. Of the 50 early reservations my rep is responsible for, about half have been delivered. If you've ordered a more sophisticated trim, you're getting pushed due to constraints. Such is life. I'm a Day 2 reservation who converted to order on time. I've set my expectations to late-22 or early 23 for delivery. Fortunately I have other vehicles for daily use.

Oh, and by the way, Ford's customers are the dealerships. Not you and me. At least until they start selling direct to consumers.

LMAO FMC created the internet hype and failed to complete the deal!! Get your reservation, it matters, it's the order we will build....crickets.... FMC we will build what we want and not communicate anything. dealer semi-matters but they get about as much communications as we all do.
