I am attracted to both of these colors but every photo looks different, the only way I could choose is to see them in real life but that’s not going to happen.

Not sure why you say you can't see the colors. They are some of the most popular colors so somewhat common. Search local dealerships and see what they have in stock you also might be able to see it on Mavericks.

Have you seen them in person? Which way are you leaning?

No seeing them in person would be great, cactus grey sometimes looks grey in photos, sometimes blue. I don’t know maybe I’m color blind. I can’t make a decision until I see them in real life.

I think my inability to state the question is equal only to my inability to understand the colors.

Area 51 looks basically the same as it does in the photos. It is an extremely common color for both the Maverick and the Bronco Sport, so you shouldn’t have much trouble finding one to look at.

Cactus gray is a strange color. In most lighting situations… if you set it against a white background or any color (other than another gray), it looks like your average light gray color. If you have cactus gray out on a bright sunny day or against another “true” gray color, you can tell almost instantly it has a very slight green tint to it.

If you want to see it in person, it is a fairly common color on the Ford Ranger, although generally speaking the Ranger isn’t that popular, so may not help much.

In my situation it was between Cactus Gray, Area 51, and Anti-matter Blue. I spent hours trying to decide between the three.

But my wife vetoed Area 51, and Anti-matter Blue was canceled after the 2021 model year. So ultimately the decision was made for me.

Same. I fell in love with cactus gray from the moment I saw it and have not regretted going with this color since. I wouldn’t order any other color.

Here are a few shades of cactus gray in different lighting:

I went Area 51. I love bright colors I wanted race red but I already have an F150 in race red. I get compliments every day on the color. My wife picked it. I wanted a true hugger orange like the new raptor but all we have is school bus orange. Cactus grey is not for me just looks like bland primer but lots seem to love it. I wanted a fun color to each his own. Too bland for me

Cactus Grey for sure! Area 51 looks too much like an Amazon delivery van. :ROFLMAO: And it's kinda dark. Dark colors are scratch magnets. Cactus Grey shouldn't show dirt as much either.

Cactus gray is the same as fighter jet gray on the Mustang Mach 1 if you have seen one in person. We own one and it’s the same paint code for touch up. I was between both colors myself and I have seen both on a bronco. You can’t go wrong with either. I prefer cactus gray.

Area 51 does change dramatically in different lights I had originally ordered 51 but when I saw it in the light at different times of the day I changed to Cactus

I think I know what you mean. I was having a similar issue. The photos you see tend to dull both the A51 and Cactus a bit. They do not look the same in person with the light hitting them. Of the two, Cactus is the most wildly inaccurate in photos or at least it looks like 7 shades exist. It’s just the lighting.

I ordered the Cactus Gray because I saw both in person and cactus looked smoother to me. A51 looks like ocean water blue to me in person. Not helping but trying…

Definitely agree. I think cactus gray tends to look darker in person than most photos show, if that helps at all.

I was a diehard A51 fan until the Desert Sand came out so I switched. 90% of the Broncos here are A51 and a buddy of mine has an A51 Bronco so I am glad I switched. Seeing the Cactus Grey in person it really is a beautiful color and would be my back up color now. Unless they release a cool Bikini (Jeep) color.

I have Cactus Grey and one of the beauties of the color is the change in appearance depending on the changes in cloud cover or lack there of. Here are two photos with a bit of contrast.813C715E-D177-4AF4-A957-5A10791FD1B7.jpgB3379F9D-96A9-41FB-9B36-C7809F5D510E.jpg
