I saw this badass Badlands today!
I must say.....the mic top is dark and LOOKS GOOD! I’m glad I ordered the mic top with Velocity Blue.

My son was just a little excited also.

Thats the color I have on order. I've seen it on a Ranger and Sport but not the Bronco. Some days Im happy with my choice and sometimes it looks mint green a little. I really like the more putty or grey tone I see sometimes. So how does the Bronco look in person with CG?

I think you’ll like it!
It is a trendy color and is supposed to look different under various lighting. It even looks really good on the Toyota RAV4 with the white top. (That’ll likely be a 2022 Bronco color combo).

I had Cactus Gray w/ MIC top ordered as well. On the build and price I loved the color. After seeing it in person on a Ranger and a Bronco Sport, I thought the same thing... sometimes it looked a little mint green, sometimes powder blue and I did not like that. Not at all. And sometimes, it looked exactly like the gray I was hoping it would be. Ultimately, after much deliberation and several trips to Ford dealerships...I changed to Carbonized Gray. After making that change, I started second guessing THAT decision. I went back to a dealership and looked them both over again and I just couldn't fall in love with Cactus Gray. I never saw it on a Bronco and it looked much better on the Sport than the Ranger. For the record, my wife did not see mint green at all, but my kids and I did. Cactus is a color that will look different depending on the light conditions, and it's a color that people will see and perceive differently. The one stand out and deciding factor for me about the Carbonized Gray was the depth created by the metallic paint. The Cactus lacked that due to the solid color. To each their own...but I needed to love it. Sticking with Carbonized.

Thanks for the feed back guys. My salesman is in Fl this week so I have a week to think about it; at least. I have a 2019 F150 in Abyss Gray and would have picked that in a heat beat if it were an option. I had a 2016 Mustang GT in a gray similar to the Carbonized gray and loved it but it was a pain to keep clean so I'm trying to stay away from the dark or sparkly colors. Carb gray looks really good and is a safe great looking color so I see why its chosen. LOL my wife said I can just have it painted if I don't like it. Thanks again.

I say it looks really good. There is definitely a difference in color in the direct sunlight and shade. It does look more of a minty green in the light. Not sure if I would call it minty green as it is really light.

I’ve ordered it. I’m told the designer name is Antique Turquoise and that it is a multiple layer paint. Depending on the lighting direction it can be Carolina Blue, Putty Gray, or Mint Green.
That’s just so cool!

I've gone through the same dance and had originally ordered my WT 4 dr in Area 51 then I saw the color change thread on the Forum for Cactus Gray being a bit darker and changed my order to the Cactus Gray. Seeing it in person on a Bronco Sport I felt it had the same green notes you saw as did my wife and so I asked the dealer to change it back to Area 51. They noted that Ford had already pulled my order and that I was stuck with the Cactus Gray. Having now seen multiple Broncos in a variety of settings in the Cactus Gray I feel comfortable with my choice but will only know for sure when I finally get the vehicle.

Congrats on having a golden ticket and getting your build!

Ok I have it figured out...........I'm only driving and looking at my CG Bronco in the shade! In the shade I don't see the mint green. I think I'm gonna stick with it even though I'm not as lucky as LR48 and getting stuck with it. Congrats. Thanks for the new pics SlashRacer.
